If you ever wonder why I don't reply...

If you are one of the few friends I have that STILL send me bulk mail, please read this. You may wonder why I never reply to the "friendship quiz" type emails that get passed around.

This morning on my Yahoo page, I saw this article, which sums it up very nicely.

It is sad that there are so many mean people in the world, but there are, and you can protect yourself by NEVER giving out your REAL birthdate, birthplace, mother's maiden name, middle name, or any details of your personal life, like your personal email or home phone number.

Think about when you apply for a credit card or bank account...what information do they want? THAT is the stuff you should guard carefully! So make up a CBD - CyberBirthDate, and use it whenever you are asked your DOB to sign up for a forum, or when you have to fill in your birthdate "to prove you are human" or if you want to participate in the quizzes that go around.

Surf careful, and STOP sending me bulk mail! I have over a 1000 to sort out, and if I get bulk mail from you once (that does not have a personal note from you), I just don't open bulk mail from you anymore.

Hello dear!  :o)  I'm back from some of my travels. Will be gone again come Aug 13th though.

Anyway, I know what you mean. I do rarely read the BULK. I just don't have the time, really. But some times I do enjoy the questioners. I do enjoy reading about my friends. Just the silly things about eachother. When the questions are like those I change them to ask something else instead, or I delete that question. Its common sense that NO ONE needs to know that about any of us.  :o)
