Some day my prince will come...The words that enchanted me as a little girl were echoing in my head-transported from childhood days into my now adult world. Was it truly only moments ago that we had met? It didn't matter-here I was, lost in the blue eyes of a stranger, and, yet, it felt like we had known each other a lifetime. He, too, seemed to be mesmerized-as we silently gazed at one another.
He was dark, and oh so handsome-just like the storybooks foretold. I couldn't take my eyes off of him-he was perfect. There was something beyond his outward good looks, however-an inner beauty that shined through.
Our hands touched and my heart literally jumped for joy. Even though there were no woodland creatures surrounding us- or birds whistling a merry tune above-the moment was magical all the same. The question, "do you believe in love at first sight?" danced dreamily across my mind...
I reached over and softly kissed him-I couldn't help myself. There was something so powerful and beautiful happening here. Up to this point there had been no words exchanged-none were needed-the two of us were contented just being with one another. I suddenly broke the silence, however. My heart had already made a declaration, but my lips needed to make a proclamation as well or I would surely burst keeping the words inside. "I love you-my sweet Prince-my newborn son," I whispered tenderly into his ear. Yes, I believed in love at first sight-and happily ever after, too.
My Prince Charming turns four today! Happy Birthday my sweet Brennan Maxwell. From that very first moment you have made me smile and my heart dance...Mommy loves you, precious boy!

And what a sweet journal entry. If that's the case, then I definitely believe in love at first sight too. And here it was I thought I didn't, but with my kids, it was definitely love at first sight . . . Our children provoke just beautiful moments of love within us.
