Okay... I actually have two of them but will tell you about my first real life angel story. I was 16 years old and at a youth church picnic at a lake. All the kids jumped in the water and swam out to the raft. Trouble was, I could not swim very well (basically doggie paddle) but did not want to look dumb in front of all the other kids, so I plunged ahead and paddled my way to the raft.I made it there fine but after watching the other kids jump off the dock and swim back for about 15 minutes I heard a call from the shore, "Lunch is ready... come on back". All the kids jumped off the raft and headed toward shore. I knew I shouldn't jump in like they did but again, I was 16 and didn't want to stand out. I jumped into the water expecting to go under for a second or two and then start paddling back. I jumped off the raft and went down deep into the water. I didn't realize how far down I would go and I started to panic when I didn't immediately pop up to the surface. When I did surface there was water in my eyes, I was turned around in the opposite direction and I again panicked. I started to go down under the water. I came up once but was still in a panic and went back under again. I was literally drowning and none of my friends from shore even noticed because I was too proud to yell out. (Remember... this all happened in a very quick span of time). I did not yell out because I could not catch my breath and I was confused. Suddenly I felt two very strong arms lift me up from behind me and with those strong arms under my armpits I literally flew toward shore. Suddenly there I was in the shallow part of the lake. Thinking my boyfriend had noticed my difficulty and had come to rescue me I turned around to thank him and no one was there. NO ONE. But immediately the knowledge that an angel had helped me came into my head and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it was my guardian angel that saved my life that day at the lake. The really strange part about this whole incident is that I never shared my angel story with any of the kids that day, (they never did notice my problems in the water). I waited until I was an adult and had still another angel encounter that I began sharing my stories with other adults and listening to theirs in return. So, I hope you will share your angel story right here so we all can read it and rejoice in the knowledge that the angels really are out there ready to protect, guide and help us all out every single day.

amazing. :) i love hearing stories like this

I don't know if it was an angel.. but it was. .pretty cool. One time when we were young my sister & I were out on the driveway sitting on chairs. . she stood up to do something. .& came back to sit down..as she started to sit. . i yanked the chair out being.. .mean. . .& i swear..it was like she sat down in slow motion. ..not on purpose. ..she said it felt really odd like her legs just were being lowered slowly.

& once my  son fell off the bed, landed right on a pillow that I never leave on the floor. ..it was the oddest thing

I, personally, haven't encountered an angel.  However, my parents have told me about their encounter on separate occasions.  The first one was in 2004.  My father was an agricultural pilot (crop duster).  He had engine failure while carrying a load and crashed.  He knocked out a few fences and small trees..tore off the bottom of his plane.  He claims that my brother (who passed away at the age of 2 in 1974) held up one of the wings so he was able to hit the ground level.

The other incident involved my mom.  She was in a major car accident in 2005.  A trailer with a 4 wheeler unhooked from a truck traveling in the opposite lane as her.  She recalls the 4 wheeler coming straight for her but my brother turned the handles.   The trailer, however, went inside.  She broke all her limbs but didn't have any internal injuries...stuck to her chest was a cross.  When the Drs told her that it was unbelievable that she didn't have any internal injuries she told them what she saw.  They told her that he should have moved the trailer and she stated "he was too little."   Every day I breath, I thank him for keeping my parents here with me.

Thank you for sharing!

I'm not sure if mine is an angel story, but I went through a windshield in 86.  I had glass in my eyes and a cut across my forehead.  No brain injury, no stitches even; just butterflies.

I have one from one of our church trips to Mexico.  We were on the way back and we had this mini-bus we called it Buster, I think....and we were on the freeway in LA, headed home from Disneyland (we were headed to Oregon via Nevada) we broke down, basically got a hole in the radiator or something. We were stuck on the bus on the median of an off ramp.  We had a van with us, they took the radiator out of the bus, and went to find someone to fix it.  They drove around this old, dumpy neighborhood off of the freeway ramp we were on. They passed an empty lot, and on their second trip around, there was a auto shop.  The mechanics heard that we were a church group and what we were doing and they didn't charge us for the repair (which would have cost us $800 or so)

They came back to put the radiator back into the bus while we were still broken down on the median of the off ramp...you know the triangular pointy part of an off ramp....the people in the van (our youth leader and half of our team) went back to go thank them or get an address to mail a card to them, and the shop was gone...nothing was there.....

That was totally an angel watching out for us....unfortunately, about 80 miles from home, we did throw a rod throught the engine or something like that, and Buster had made his final trip....but we luckily were able to squeeze 25 people into a 15 passenger van (not legal I know) and Buster was eventually towed to town....but that first part of the story was definately angels
