My very first quilt square

I have been agonizing over this for days, weeks and months! How to make a quilt. Should I make? Should I pay someone else to do it? What to do!? What to do!? Well, I finally took the plunge with this quilt square. I'm going to make a pillow out of it since it isn't the colors I wanted to use but here it is. My first quilt square is an applque bunny in airplane! I'm going to start another one tomorrow after I go to Walmart and grab some more fabric. The second one will be the start of Kyle's quilt.

One question though for anyone sew-savey: How do I make eyes like these?

Um... I can't really tell you very well verbally. I would have to show you.
Errrr, let's see... Make a solid black eye with single strand black thread, then take single strand white thread to make the small white dots. Does that help at all?

Cute! to do the "blanket stitch" around tthe bunny applique and the eye you should hand embroider.  Really easy to learn, there are plenty of websites on the subject, search for "hand embroidery tutorials"
