Private jokes made public - or - Trials of a snackfood.

Once upon a time there was a DingDong.  This DingDong was irked by something another snackfood said and/or did, so the DingDong wrote a ridiculous and vague journal for everyone to read and then got her little cream-filled panties in a bunch because others wanted to comment on the scathing journal. 

The DingDong said, "If you don't understand it, mooOOve on." But it was a pubLic (not a pubic) journal and as such it was the public's right to comment.  (A "duh" moment, at its best.)

I realize that plenty of snackfoods have problems with other snackfoods.  DingDongs scream, "UNFAIR!" because they have less cream-filling than Twinkies.  Despite their chocolate coating, they feel the need to boast of their popularity from the spongy tops of mountains of other cakes while they soil your fingers and add pounds to your hips.

Yes, there will always be discontent among the snackfoods.

However, whether you are a journal-writing snackfood or not, you have a choice when you write on CafeMom to select "public", "private" or "friends only" before AND after you post.  It really saves time and energy wasted in the question/answer category.

If you don't want to field questions about the private joke you've unleashed on the masses or clarify the point of your tale, marking your journal accordingly would be wise.

I'm just sayin'.

I'm glad you didn't make this a pubic journal... that could get really messy! That would be one of those, friends only, type posts not everyone would want to be privy too! lol

Amen.  You forgot to mention that the dimmer Ding Dongs among us say "dont bash me!" when they really mean "Don't comment anything other then "great post" or I'll delete you."

Ding Dongs were always my snack food of choice growing up and when I was pregnant. My sister always buys the sno ball 2-pack once a year for us to split. I love them too!
