"Wiping" herself

Di spent about 10 minutes this noon sitting on her potty "wiping" herself. 

She hadn't done anything on the potty to be wiped.  She's only 16 1/2 months old and kinda too little to really really starting potty training...but we have a potty chair.  And we put her on it from time to time.  Y'know, planting the seeds for future training. 

This noon I had her on the little potty if not just to occupy her while I was on the big potty.  Y'know...to keep her off my lap.  I have no problem with her being on my lap when I'm on the couch...or even sometimes at the kitchen table.  But my lap is OFF LIMITS when I'm on the potty.  But her little toddler mind doesn't understand this.  So I will often take off her shorts and diaper and she'll sit on her little potty...and, dag-nabbit...it seems sometimes like she's actually trying to go! 

But any way, this noon we were on our respective potties, and it was time for me to wipe.  She's all about mimic play at this point, so I give her 1 square (I could spare a square!  LOL  I <3 Seinfeld) and she starts "wiping" herself...just like Mama. 

And kept on wiping. 

And wiping. 

And wiping. 

Front and back separate, like she's supposed to. 

And kept on wiping. 

And sat on the potty wiping for about 10 minutes. 

I got tired watching, so I left her to her wiping and went to my lunch prep...checking in on her...still wiping. 

Finally she decided she was done and toddled bare-@$$ed out to the kitchen, and I chased her back to her room to wrestle a diaper back onto her. 

I hope this means potty training will be easier...

That's funny.  You may have an easy trainer on your hands!  Lucky you!  Conor just plays with his potty chair, lol!
