My two boys (ages 3 & 5) and I were playing in their bedroom tonight. We going through the kids stuffed animals to see what they still wanted. Asher found a stuffed dolphin but called it a whale. I told him it was a dolphin but he kept arguing with me. He said it has a hole like a whale mommy (referring to the blow hole). Apparently he doesn't think that dolphins have them. I gave up after several attempts. He then shocked me. Don't ask me where he got this from, I've never given him "the talk". But this is what he proceeded to tell me... "Mommy, whales have holes in their heads and live in the water. Then the daddy whale comes to the mommy whale in the water and she has a baby whale. The baby whale comes out of this hole here (he points to the BLOW HOLE) in her head. Then they have a baby and their a family and happy. Then we take the baby whale home and put it in our bath tub as our new pet." I was proud of myself, I showed great restraint. I wanted to burst into laughter but made myself be quite until I walked out of the room. I guess I'll let him think that a little while longer until he get older!

So cute.
It is so funny how much kids pick up at that age. Mine knows that babies come from mommy and that daddy has something to do with it. But he is conviced that God makes the baby inside mom. I don't know where he picked that up but it will do for now. =D
My cousin's daughter is convinced you get a baby by the daddy putting a seed in the mama's belly button. She caught her son poking a couple of watermelon seeds in his sisters belly button. "I'm the daddy, you're the mama, and we're gonna have twins!! Then Mama and Daddy can babysit for us while we go swing."
I was laughing so hard I dropped the phone.
