I don't know about you girls, but I have been bombarded with prayer requests. People all around me are hurting and have special needs. The only thing I can give them is the power of my prayers...and to spread their petitions to others.
I wanted to start a post for anyone who needs a prayer request or knows someone that does. I believe in prayer and the strength of many voices and hearts coming together! Even if you don't have a need, please pray for those that do and bump this post or vote popular so more people have a chance to participate in this prayer chain. I believe we can make a difference!
Thanks.
Comments:
I will pray for those listed as well.
I do have a small prayer request - - I'm in pain today with my endometriosis and with a houseful of kids and a boatload of stuff to do, I just don't know how it's going to get all done. :-(
Count me in to pray for everyone who lists a request. :-)
My best friend Dana's mother has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Also, her sister EveAnn's kidneys are failing her. Please keep Dana's family in your prayers.
My mom and all my siblings are non-believers - please pray that they'll come to know Christ.
Remember our brave men and women serving our country in prayer.
It seems like the world is falling apart lately. Everytime I turn around I see news of people dying, losing their jobs and houses. The world is so full of need right now. My family was in a bad place last year, unable to pay our power bills, scraping together what we could for rent and pawning off our possesions to buy groceries, so I know how it hopeless it feels.
I haven't prayed in a long time, but I will keep everyone in my thoughts.

I want to know
Exactly how to pray.
I need some words
Which ones are right?
Please tell me what to say.
I've bowed my head
I have knelt down,
But ... should I be upright?
I've closed my eyes,
I've raised my hands,
Or ... should I fold them tight?
Do I stand up?
Should I sit down?
Dear Lord ... what do you like?
Are lights turned on
Or are they off?
Maybe ... candle light?
Wear my glasses?
Take them off?
Be at my desk or table?
Should I whisper?
Speak out loud?
Do I quote the Bible?
What do you think
About the time?
Do You prefer the dawn?
Should I pray fast,
Or keep it slow?
Better short ... or long?
I'm new at this
What are the rules?
I want to do it right.
How do I know
You'll even hear
That I am in Your sight?
And while I sat there quietly,
Waiting for some sign,
I heard a gentle voice say,
"Oh, dearest child of mine ...
Do you think I really care
About the time of day,
Or whether you are standing up,
Or kneeling when you pray?"
"I don't care about your posture,
Or about the place you choose;
Just open up your soul to me,
I have no other rules.
Tell me what is in your heart,
And tell me what you seek;
Tell me of your sorrows,
And of those things that made you weak."
"Speak to me in private
About what concerns you most;
I know about your good deeds ...
You have no need to boast.
My child, you don't need lessons,
Just talk to me each day;
Tell me anything you want, dear child,
Anyone can pray."
Glows: what a beautiful prayer. To all of you that have prayer requests I am embracing you with my prayers...

My friend, Amy, had her house foreclosed after her husband has been laid off since last year.
My friend's husband Dave just lost his teaching position--right before school is going to start. They are both frantically trying to find jobs.
My parish priest fell yesterday and hit his head.
My friend Karla and her husband are at a crossroad. Her dh lost his job and they were going to move to another state--selling their house--buying a new one. He now has an interview in our hometown and they are waiting...
My dh is manager at a GM plant. The industry is on shakey ground. A lot of good people have been let go.
Pray for all of those in need of a job!
