John Hughes, director, producer, and writer of some of the most successful films of the 80's and 90's, passed away today at the age of 59. He is the creator of such classic teen angst films as Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Weird Science, and Pretty in Pink. Among other great comedies as Planes, Trains & Automobiles, National Lampoon's Vacation, Uncle Buck, and Home Alone.
Being a teen in the 80's, I could definitely relate to alot of his films, especially Sixteen Candles and Pretty in Pink. Those are 2 of my favorite films of all time! Even though I am 36 now, I still love them! I could watch them a million times and they never get old!
But, I would have to say my ultimate favorite would be Sixteen Candles.

"Thanks for getting my undies back".
"Thanks for coming over".
Thanks for coming to get me".
"Happy birthday, Samantha. Make a wish"
"It already came true".

Gotta go with Planes, Trains and Automobiles.. I just love that one, even though he made soooo many wonderful movies. I had no idea he passed away... that is so sad... he was way too young, such a terrible loss.
He will be missed greatly.
