JUST GIVE THE BABY UP FOR ADOPTION - DUH !

Ok it is comments like this that bother me.  A mom puts up a post saying that she is pregnant and scared and doesn't know what to do.  She is considering an abortion and just needs some advice and not to be attacked.  But of course the attacks begin.

The attacks are understandable because so many people are pro-life and that is their personal choice.  And then there are all those women who want babies so bad but can't get pregnant for one reason or another. 

But what bothers me is the comment above: "Just give the baby up for adoption."  Do people actually think before they say this to a scared pregnant woman?  Sure she might have made some bad decisions or maybe the birth control failed.  But here we are at keep the baby, abort, or adoption.

Why do so many women think that carrying a baby for nine months inside your body and feeling it move and respond is so easy.  These women are telling her to give her baby away to a strange couple to raise as their own.  How do you do that?  I mean really - how do you tell another woman so non-chalantly to just give her baby away to strangers.  These women are blunt and cruel.  They call women that they are dirt bags and heartless and many other things that I just don't like saying or writing. 

To give up your own flesh and blood is so hard and must tear women apart.  Yeah abortion is an easy fix.  Maybe it isn't the right fix but to some women it is the only one.  They can't just carry a baby for nine months and then give the child to a strange family and hope, wish, and pray that the child will be loved and properly cared for.  Then they pray that the child will not hate them for giving them away like a piece of property.

My whole point of this journal is to say - can ya'll be a bit more gentle about this.  I mean really !  This is a hard decision and why would any woman listen to someone treating them like this.  A baby is a miracle and ya'll are treating it like a chair or a coach or a vase.  Just give it to someone else who will give a damn about it and not want to murder it but butchering it to death.  How disgusting is that !  You can be both pro-life and a humanitarian at the same time.  Treat people with respect at all times - not just when you agree with them.  You can argue a point without being abusive.

I agree with you.
We all need to have compassion for each other.

Women stand united.

Women can have opinions of thier own but don't think others have to have your opinion.

I have to agree with you. I am pro Life but I realize that adoption is not a cure all either and comes with emotional consequences.
