Day 2 went really well. I took a 3 milk bike ride with the kids in the morning before I put it off and it was a good time. We rode to our friends house 1.5 miles, visited for about 45 minutes and rode back. It was also a good time to distract myself from snacking. Double duty activity. I ate perfectly but forgot to take my Alli pill with lunch. Duh. You'd think that this being a new and exciting venture for me that I'd have it on my mind all the time. Didn't remember till 2 hours later... too late to take it. Oh well. It was still a healthy lunch and I remembered it at dinner time. OMG, I just had lunch and I forgot to take it again! LOL! Brb.
OK. All set ;)
Dinner last night was rushed and I ended up making Hamburger Helper. I swear that I never, ever make that stuff. But it was on sale one day so I grabbed it thinking of the kids lunches. I still stayed in my calorie and fat gram range by having only 1/2 cup and a large green salad with 1 tbsp. Greek dressing. Snack was fat-free sugar-free pudding with Lite Cool Whip. Love that stuff.
One thing I'm beginning to be worried about is some unusual back pains that start in the evening and keep me from sleeping near the morning (one of my medications knocks me out so I must sleep through the discomfort all night till the medicine starts wearing off in the morning hours). I had similar pains when I gave Atkins a shot. It ended up being my kidneys in distress from the all the excess protein. I don't feel like I'm eating too much protein with the Alli diet, so I'm not sure what's going on. I don't like the idea of my internal organs being stressed! I had to get up at 5:30 and take 3 Motrin and put a heating back under my back. It took about 30 minutes for the pain to subside enough that I could go back to sleep. Now, at 1:00 in the afternoon it's totally fine. The Motrin has definitely worn off by now, but no discomfort. It's so weird! I told John (dh) that I would keep an eye on the situation. When I had the pains during Atkins it hurt all through the day. Needless to say, I did not stay on the plan for very long.
