The fun of being a "parent"

I adopt a lot of animals as you can see from my profile. So I have a son, three dogs, and two cats.

During the morning it is the mad breakfast rush. The Chihuahua has his special puppy chow, the two cats have their organic made with real chicken kitten chow, and the dogs have their made with real beef dog chow. I then make my son morning pancakes or eggs. And then I begin my day with coffee.

During the morning I can easily be spotted taking my two large dogs for a walk (the puppy hasn't had all his shots yet), coming home and letting them in the backyard while scrubbing down my kitchen, living room, and so on and so forth. After the house is cleaned I take a moment to do home work or read. Smokie loves to help attack the vacuum during cleaning time so he is more than willing to share my lap while I am doing my home work.

Depending on the day I am either at school, church, or doing something with my family. I usually take my whole crew (minus the cats because they hate the car). And if we move and our animals are not welcome we are not welcome. We do take family trips without them. But I call all of my family and friends to see who can baby sit them all and make sure they are ok.

I make time to train my dogs so I don't have any issues. I have a huge box of dog treats to train them with and you will hear me barking orders at them even while doing homework.

During thunderstorms all my animals are inside and snuggled in with me. The cats are always inside because I don't really like them being outside. I should add that I live in Coyote central and my cats are all litter box trained.

At night I have two dogs sleeping at the foot of the bed on the ground, two cats sleeping directly on my feet, and a chihuahua snuggled in between my husband and I. My husband also likes to tell me that he steals the covers as well. I even read to my son every night and my dogs and cats can all be found crowding around us as I am reading. They fight over my lap sometimes but find a happy medium.

I get a lot of licks, a lot of big dogs thinking they are lap dogs, and a lot of laughs. My life is chaos but they make me happy. Especially when I see my Chihuahua and my new kitten fighting over my backpack. They like laying on it... I don't know why.

Sounds like my house! 2 dogs 2 cats and 2 boys!One of my cats name is Smokey too! And they all sleep with me LOL!

Well my big dogs were kicked to the floor because they steal the bed. I have been kicked off the bed many times by Buyou lol.

LOL I didn't think this would become so popular. I was just talking about one positive thing to perk up my day. Now I must go save my back pack from the evil terror known as Ricky the kitten.
