Hi, I'm Tonisha Fortune of Lake Charles.
Schools offer many electives such as choir, advanced art, French, Spanish and piano. Why not offer Bible study and religious tolerance as electives in public schools?
Parents can elect to have their children in these classes during registration. Both electives would be studied in an unbiased way, and viewed as literature. I believe this would be awesome, and it would help the children accept all people no matter what religion they believe!
Our future will be brighter, and the future leaders would be more understanding of the world around them. We could have the option of putting our children from Pre K- through 12th grade, in Bible Class for an hour, or the children can elect to study World Religion for one hour a day.
Scroll down for links to petitions for both propositions currently before Congress.
Please join me in the fight for our children's future in the public education system. I love this FREE country under God and wish each of you a very Merry and Blessed Christmas.
Thank you.
