Much better than that sad excuse for health care reform that they're kicking around right now ...
It would make too much sense to make health insurance affordable for people outside of their employer. Just too much sense.
Our society is too litigious and the high cost of malpractice insurance, and therefore the practice of defensive medical treatment, is the fault of a society that would penalize heavily any doctor who errs; yet I am sure they would rather pay insurance premiums than lose their license. This idea would never fly.
We already are paying for un-insured people who seek medical treatment; we already have government sponsered health & income plans (medicare, medicaid, welfare). The current plan proposed might not be perfect, but it's a step in the right direction. If people who attend town hall meetings would first listen to what the politicians have to say and then debate the plan's design, we all would benefit.
The current "plan" as it is written is at best LAUGHABLE and at worst EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.
This is a FAR better solution. Thanks for posting this, Casey!
Excellent article! And excellent plan! That's the plan we need to get behind.
A bit ironic, don't you think? The timing of this being posted at the same time as a journal where some are devaluing the penny? Sad statement on the mentality of this country ... and just think how how much good all those pennies could do ...
try fixin the one ya got--dont bulldoze the house if da windows are broken! everything has problems, ya fix those not make a whole new barrel!
wheres the common sense i swear!
that article made no sense at all. I do not see where that would benefit me the uninsured worker.
That would be great :). As an uninsured worker it would bring down the cost of insurance and help you buy insurance on your own that wasn't tied to a job.

Mila Kunis' Weight Gain Is No Cause for Concern
His ego wouldn't let him endorse this plan - but you're right, it could work.
No, the idiot who's managed to quadruple the national debt in less than 6 months isn't bright enough to step back and do what's right.
He'll just continue doing what he wants.
Business as usual.
