I saw the doc yesterday to have some paperwork filled out in order to reinstate my Medical Assistance. Now before this, I had already had a pap test done about 3 months ago and the doc told me then that I had the HPV virus that causes cervical cancer and that I needed to get a culposcopy to be sure I did not have the cancer yet and to 'freeze' or kill the virus before it became cancerous. Before I could get the recommended treatment, my MA cut me off without warning. I have been trying to get it back for 3 months now. The doc okayed me for another year after she filled in the forms that I needed to get MA back, but I noticed one question on there that got my attention and put me in a panic. The question was:
'Is the patient's medical condition expected to result in death?' Next to it the doc put 'YES'!
This has really gotten me even more depressed than I was a few days ago about something else that happened on here. So as soon as I get my MA card back, I have to go and get the culposcopy, possibly get a complete hysterectomy and kemo to make sure they got all of it. I am scared to death!! I don't want to die just yet, I am not done here on earth!! I want to see my grandkids born and hold them. Plus I wanna live longer than 45 or even 50 if I make it that far. I've got a whole lot more living to do, but this just put a damper on things right now. So excuse me ladies if I don't visit the forums as often as I should or play the games I usually play. My health comes first.
Thank you for your understanding and support.

Yes, she did on our last visit if the HPV got worse and developed into cancer. What really got to me is the realization that my medical condition is expected to result in death!!
I know one thing though. I don't have any energy later and sleep more than usual and I get a cramping sensation in my lower abdomen not related to a menstrual cycle.
I can't wait to get more tests done and get it taken care of, but it is still a scary thing to read what your doc wrote about you dying!
Thanks I will check out your group... see ya there!
I am going to refer you to a magazine site called
Peggy O'Mara is the editor there and there are loads of articles on female medical problems such as your own-with alternative ideas on therapies-I don't know specifically if yours has recently been included in their articles, but it very well might be-Don't be scared, you must keep your body chemistry in a healing mode - it will help you develop a strong immune system. I know it must have upset you to see that written-I don't think that particular group of physicians is healthy for you-isn't there somewhere else you could get a second opinion? Why don't you sue them for writing that and giving it to you? I'd call an attorney if I were you-I have never heard of such a thing before being given to a patient. If the doctor was applying for insurance coverage-he may have used your situation to better his situation by putting that statement on there without it being true-I would right away get a second opinion-you might not even have what they are telling you-go to a Women's Clinic if you can find one. Hope you are strong enough to do something about that situation.////
HI! I was just wondering how things are going since the first of the month. I do hope you get this taken care of asap.. I am also praying for your daughters safe return home. Take care and God Bless you., Jacque

Hi - I'm very sorry for what you are going through, but I wanted to let you know that you are not alone. I don't know your medical history, but I can tell you my own experience. I have High Risk HPV. I've been through a couple colposcopy's and one LEEP procedure. Now, 3 years later - I have had 3 normal paps in a row. So please try to think positive. Did the dr specifically say you would need a hysterectomy and chemo? I know it is very easy to think the worst. Waiting is the hardest part of going through all of this - waiting for appts, waiting for results of tests, etc.
If you ever need to talk to women in the same situation as you - feel free to stop by 'Mom's Fighting Cervical Cancer.'
Good luck to you!
