I will never spend another cent at Babies R Us...ever! I don't care how many friends, family members register there for showers. I don't care if they are selling diapers for 5 cents a case.

I went in to buy a car seat yesterday, the only one in the model I wanted to purchase was 15 feet high up on a shelf and obviously, I needed some help to get it. I asked a woman stocking shelves for help and she informed me that she was unable to assist me (she must have been too busy putting J&J lotion on the shelves) and would have to get some one else. SO after waiting OVER 30 mins for help, I approached customer service and I was told that EVERYONE working was busy and I would just have to wait. I informed the woman that my daughter was getting impatient as we had already been waiting quite a long time and asked if she knew how much longer it would be as I just needed a car seat taken down. She very rudely informed me that I would just have to wait and she had now idea how much longer I would have to wait.

Needless to say, after 45 mins of waiting I left without purchasing a thing (I was also going to purchase several cases of diapers) I would understand if the store was packed and busy whatever, but when an associate cannot be bothered to stop stocking shelves to assist a customer that is just rediculous! And to be treated so poorly when I asked for help.

I will not spend another cent at Babies R Us. Just wanted to vent this to the other CM Moms. Anyone else have a similar experience????

I'm sorry that happened to you. That location must really suck. Although, I've had mostly positive experiences there, I will agree that they're not big on customer service. They rarely greet customers and don't offer to help while you're shopping. I don't mind it so much because I don't like to be pestered. Luckily, I've not needed any help. I heard employees complain there. I don't think they treat them well and they're not motivated to go the extra mile. I think they're owned by the same company as Toys R Us. I would write to them about your experience. It might not make a big difference but they should know how customers were treated in that location.

WOW!!!!  My mother would certainly empathize....Toys R Us has done the same thing to her on a number of occasions.....I've also stood at a checkout line waiting on a cashier who was nowhere to be found !  AND one toy I wanted for a christmas gift, was on their website, and I had bought it in the past from them....I was told they have never sold that brand name before and she had never heard of it .....I took exception to being called a liar and I asked someone else in the store because I figured she was just being lazy and they knew exactly what I was talking and started leading me toward it....I know I sound like an old woman when I say this, but what is happening with the work ethic today???  When I worked in retail as a teenager, I did everything I could to answer customer's questions and help them !   Anyway, Mom no longer shops at Toys R Us for any reason!   I go there as little as possible...!!

Not similar but several times ordering online from BRU I had horrible experiences, they tried to screw me over big time.  Sorry that happened to you but can't say that I'm surprised because they suck.  I vowed a while ago that I would never ever shop there again.

aww Jen I'm so sorry you and lola had to go through that! There is always target! :-) Don't let rude places like that get to you, I mean some people don't know any better and then some don't like their jobs and they like to take it out on the customers, so once again don't let them get under your skin too much.
