Are creative and artistic the same?

I guess I would put myself in both categories regardless.
I have fantastic ideas, I have wonderul talent, what I lack is follow through and completion skills.
So am I artisitc? Creative? Imaginative? Original?
I am off the charts!

That is a very good question! I agree with the mom above me - that one is making something from nothing, and the other is a great idea, but the person may not have the actual skills/talent to carry it out. I am creative, but not very artistic.

Nah, I think of a creative person as one who makes something from nothing. One who sees the mud and makes a rainbow.
Artisitic, though, I think of as one having skill.
I consider myself creative, I have lots of good ideas...but the skill is not there. You should see my attempt at painting and sewing. : ) You would shake your head in pity.
