So i am trying to get us moved into a different 2 bedroom apartment (we currently live in an unrenovated building in crestview). I think i have 2 good reasons; 1.) there is mold in this building i can smell it and it is messing with my sinuses. 2.) I am EFMP for anxiety disorder and if i have a panic attack i have to leave the building to get help, becuase i am the only person living in the stairwell. Well they wont move me. They say there is no mold here and they wont move me because i am the only person here. So we are stuck. I have met a few people but its not the same. I can't go and hang out in front of the building with people and just leave him (my son) up in his bed. Instead i have to leave when it is bed time or let him fall asleep there and then take him home. He has no children to play with. Did i mention that all of the playgrounds here are condemned since another child's foot went through a rotted board on the play ground? So i understand I can go to hainerberg or aukamm but seriously think about it. Wouldn't it suck for you if you had to leave all the time? So we get to stay here sick and lonely! I know there are people who don't have housing, but they still wouldn't want to live here either. Frustrating!
So Johnathan went to the housing office and they said that they are supposed to be moving people into the "area" and wouldn't move me still. Basically his 1SGT said if by October there is still no one in our building then let her know and they would get something worked out. This is a solution i can live with. Last resort would be getting a dr's note. Whenever i go to one they want to dope me up on meds. I hate it! I can handle my anxiety, but in rare stressful cases i have panic attacks. The rest is just little stuff.
Comments:
My DH is currently talking to some people in his command to see if anything can be done. I wouldn't care about living in this old building if it wasn't making me sick and if i wasn't going to struggle once he deploys being so isolated!
Have you tried going the doc way? Having a note or something that says you cannot live their due to the conditions, also have your psy write a note that says living there is aggravating your anxiety and you need to be moved, it is part of your treatment to be around people, etc. You know what I mean? It might take some time, but eventually they will move you, make sure you go through the chain, because the min you skip someone you will be told to go back through them. I think you best bet is to start having it documented, go to the doc and explain keep going to the doc, get copies of your records and what the doc says, if they can pin point that the mold is causing your problems have them write that- once you establish a pattern they will have to do something, if that does not work go to CSM Prince (he is an awesome guy!!) he will make sure something gets done, but you have to go through the chain first. Let me know if I can do anything to help you! K? Good luck momma! You never called me back!! You suck!! :-D
I agree, that doc's note and all that sounds good. Maybe you can have somebody coming certifying that there is mold as well if they don't believe you.
