I have had the most amazing 48 hours ever!!!! I'll try to keep this short and sweet, but I'm not making any promises.
Monday morning I got called for an interview for a Classroom Assistant for Head Start. I went to the interview Tues. afternoon, and it was one of the best interviews I've ever given. Praise God, just for the fact that I got picked for an interview AND that he blessed me with graciousness of words. This was my first good news & first prayer request. Please pray that God will grant me favor in their eyes, and that they will call me back with the job.
Ok, moving on... Secondly, just a little background for the next part. I am working an extremely part-time job. I barely make $400 a monty at the moment, and I'm barely making ends meet. There's a tent revival coming up next week, about an hour or so drive away. I'm lucky if I can make $20 worth of gas stretch for 2 weeks in between my paychecks as it is. I seriously don't have any "extra" money for ANYTHING.
So.... Monday night I was praying to God telling him how I just couldn't believe that he wouldn't want me to hear some really good preaching, how he knows that I don't have the money to go, and how I needed & wanted him to provide a way for me to afford to go. (Everyone else at my church is going all day, and I can only afford to go to the evening services). Anyways... THAT VERY SAME NIGHT... ALMOST THE EXACT SAME TIME I WAS PRAYING.... My father won a bunch of money on some scratch offs (NO... I'm not advocating gambling, but that's how it happened), and gave my Mom a $100 to give to me for whatever I needed it for, no strings attached!!!!!!!!!!!! Praise God for his timing, faithfullness, & for his goodness! My God is an AWESOME God!!!!
I came home from my interview to find this message on my machine Tues. afternoon. So, instead of begging someone to take me, I now have the money for the gas, and the opportunity to bless someone else by seeing who I can take!
While I was at my parent's house telling my Mom about the tent meetings and a Preacher that I was going to go listen to that night, (that just coincidently won 3 of my church brethren to the Lord the previous year at the tent meetings... ), my Mom who is a Jehovah's Witness asked me to tape the service I was going to that night & next weeks meetings that I was going to go to!!! Praise God that he's moving in her heart to hear some non-JW preaching! Praise God! Praise God! Praise God! Please pray that God will move within her heart if & when she listens to those when I give her her recorder back, that she might receive true saving salvation, the Holy Ghost, & assuring knowledge of that fact. Her name is Sandy
K... so today I literally spent over an hour tonight after getting back from mid-week service calling people to see who would like to go with me next week. I had mentally gotten into the mode of witnessing & trying to "glean" for God's harvest so to speak. Mind you I listened to the Preacher mentioned earlier talk just last night about how important it is to go out there and retrieve lost souls for God to work on and in. God did a mighty work on me last night, and this past weekend at a singles meeting I went to on this very subject.
Moving along... I caught my Dad on my IM tonight, and instinctively knew I had to ask my Dad. Here's where I need to give some background so you can fully appreciate the dire need for prayer here.
My Dad is very very far from the Lord. He was raised Catholic, but hasn't practiced since he left home some 40 years ago. He's definitely not saved k, and is swimming in multiple addictions.
However, recently my Father has been changing in ways that I can't adequately explain. For example, he's become increasingly more concerned about others well being. He's started dating my Mother after years of a dead marriage. He's started telling me he loves me, and gives me hugs, after years of indifference. So... all I can assume is that God is tenderizing his heart for the Gospel. I truly believe from the bottom of my heart that my Father is ripe for the Gospel RIGHT NOW. Now I just need him to decide to go with me, so that the Spriit of God can work on him.
He works second shift, and said he couldn't afford to take a day off to go to one of the evening meetings. I then asked if I went to a morning meeting would he come with me, because he wouldn't have to miss work this way. Because we had talked about throwing my Mom a surprise 60th b-day party which is only a few days before mine next month, I said that I'd consider this my b-day present if he went, and that it'd be second only to walking me down the aisle... that it would mean that much to me. He said he'd have to "think about it".
This is soooo gigantically huge, that this is just the tip of the iceburg k. We all have lost loved ones, and I KNOW you know how huge this is. So, I'm begging all of my dear friends, and whoever else might read this to pray that God would move my Father to say yes and come with me to the Tent meeting next week, and that my Mom WILL actually listen to the recordings.
I know we tend to say, "I'll pray for you", and then forget sometimes... so PLEASE... just take a moment and do it now, while you're right here. This is part of our Christian duty... to pray for the lost. So again... I'm begging you with every fiber of my being to think of my father Allen Scott, and my mother Sandy for the next couple days while it's not too late for them and they're alive & have a chance to receive salvation!
God Bless each and every one of you for taking the time to think of total strangers, who mean the world to me - both of my parents.

I will be standing in prayer also for their salvation.. as I know your standing with me for my lost loved ones.
Lord God,
I pray now for no only you to move these people to come and sit at your feet for a few minuits. I pray that while they are there that you bring conviction and salvation. I pray that you WIPE ALL SCALES FROM THEIR EYES. And that they can see themselves as you do. I pray that the man of God whom they hear is sensative to your touch and follows your leading.. I PRAY NOW FOR SANDY, ALLEN AND ALSO ROBERT. I pray for salvation and I pray for all healing to begin and that this family be renewed in you.
IN JESUS HOLY NAME
AMEN
I pray in agreement with my sister's prayer to not only move in Sandy, and Allen's lifes. But, that they may love you as their most important person, and Lord of their life!! That from that point on the Holy Spirit will lead and guide them into all truths! And, all thoughts will be taken captive unto Jesus Christ. I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ! Amen
And, I will continue to pary for you, and your family!
