My kitten Ricky is known for his bravery and well stubborness. He is an inside cat and I always make sure that the cats are away while the dogs are fed. Heck I even put our Chihuahua away.

Buyou my big dog is the kind hearted one who gladly gives up his plate to another. Bonnie is my problem dog. We have been debating what to do with her for about a year now. Last night was the last straw.

My husband asked if he could help with feeding the dogs. I told him to remember putting the animals away when he does this. Bonnie doesn't share very well. I was cleaning up my bedroom when I heard my son scream "Daddy come here quick!" Apparently while my husbands back was turned our kitten Ricky decided he was getting Bonnies food and nothing was going to stop him. Well Bonnie bit the kitten and without leaving teeth marks manage to hurt the kitten badly.

I finally got the bleeding to stop in the nasal passage but his eye looks like he is going to lose it. And I can feel pressure just under his skin like a bubble. I have cleaned him up, found some medication for the animals to help with moistioning the eye, and using saline spray to clear the nasal passage. I have been working all night long and I am tired. But now I need help from others.

I have NO money, not even enough to pay for a vet check up. I spent all my reserves taking this precious angel to the vet when I first found him. Since everyone on my friends list knows he is a runt. This cat seems to be having a bad life. First someone poisoned him where he was born, then he was underfed due to being a runt, and then had his ear snipped!

I have called almost all the vet offices in South west Idaho. No one will help and for people who claim to be animal enthusiasts they don't care unless you have the green. I have been up all night researching organizations built for people like me who need their help with vet bills. But due to the economy no one can help. They are flat broke.

My only other choice is taking him to the humane society where they will fix him up but I might have to give him up. And their isn't a promise he will find a new home. I mean he is a beautiful cat but a cat without an eye is sneered at and over looked.

My husband is taking this hard. He feels like he screwed up and he is beating himself up over it. When I finally did fall asleep in the AM my husband stayed up until just recently with Ricky to make sure he had all his needs. Wrapped him up in a clean blanket and held him while he kept apologizing.

Bonnie is staying in a kennel from now on. She isn't a vicious dog and that is the confusing part. She is a very sweet pup but when it comes to her food she is mean.

I just wish I could find one good hearted person just willing to take a payment plan right now. I have been praying all night and I don't know what to do. Everyone keeps telling me to "put him down" but he is fighting so hard and has pulled through. How can I put him down when he obviously wants to live?

*update* So I am tired of trying to find some compassion. I am putting some stuff together and doing a fundraiser for Ricky. I am selling a diamond ring, books, and anything else I can find of value. Because this is easily going to be a grand or more for the check up and surgery.
