Seriously I'm so angry right now I don;t know what to do, what to say, or what my legal rights are. I'm pissed, hurt. feel betrayed,, scared, and want to kick the pediatrician's ass right now!!! I'll start at the beginning and try to give you the short version best I can. Many of you know from my other posts in the past about the hard time my youngest son has had health wise. he wasn't breathing at birth, was unable to eat and had to be fed by a g-tube the first 10 months, he's had a few surgeries and has a extremely low immune system. When he was a baby he had his first round of shots, he got a fever so high it couldn't even register on the thermometer before it went that high the last check was 106.7 F, he screamed for 14 hours straight none stop, and many other problems. we waited for the next set of shots, longer then the norm, for him to get a little older. Then we tried again, the same thing happened. i then did some research online and found out about the shot/autism link. I read how kids who have no reaction to getting the vacs. are less likely to develop it but those who react strongly to it have a much higher risk form getting vac. related autism. My first son, Asher, is up to date on all his shots and got his kindergarten shot last month, I let this happen because he had no reaction to them any other time. But in regards to my youngest son, Phoenix, my husband and i talked and though the best thing would be to not let him have anymore again, it wasn't worth the risk. I spoke with the Dr. about it and she wasn't happy about it but there's nothing she could do about it (or so I thought). She asked me to at least reconsider doing the shots when his immune system came up to the norm and i said ok (I never intended to let him have anymore though I just said it to shut her up). And so we went on with our lives. This past year his immune system has still been very poor. She did blood work and his white blood cells are way off. She said that their a immunity boosting shots that he needs. I asked her if they were the regular shots ans she said no. She said their just to give him a boost in fighting things off. I asked if it had the same ingredients and she said no. So I said ok because he's getting sick all the time. i asked if it was safe for him to get them when he's sick and she said yes so he got them and continued to get them. the first time she went to give it to him she brought out more then one needle I asked her what the other one was and it was the regular shots, I said I wanted to hold off on those. she said ok walked off and came back with just one needle but it had more stuff in it. He had a mild reaction to it and the other ones as well. Now let's skip ahead to today. He's 3 and starting head start. I had to get a letter from the Dr. stating that he's behind on his shots because he's allergic to them, if she refused I'd just go get a letter saying it's against my religious beliefs. He's the news... HE'S UP TO DATE ON ALL HIS SHOTS!!! Turns out when I turned down the two shots the first time she went and put them both back, then got out a shot that has the immunity boosting stuff mixed with the regular shot! Did she think I'd never find out or when I did that i wouldn't care by then? STUPID FREAKIN' BITCH!!! This past year my hubby, my son's speech and O.T. therapist, and I have been talking about how he's starting to show signs of high functioning autism. I said maybe those two times I let him have the shots did it. Now I know, it's because the Dr. was still giving him his shots..and when he was sick on top of it. Everyone know you don't give a child shots when he's sick. I'm so upset I don't know whether to scream, cry, or puke! Anyone have any advice on what to do from here please?

Wow really? I'm worried sick about my child and you're going to attack me and basically call me stupid for believing shots could give him Autism?!!!? Why do you have to be such a bitch to me when I have done nothing to you? Do I believe shots give every child autism? No. IMO this what I feel. Some children have no problem with them and other do. I think it's allergies and a over load of stuff being put into the body at once. Just like some medications help people but others if their allergic can die form the same medication. Their are man children who have had their shots that do not have autism and many who do. I have yet to find a child however that has had no shots ever and had autism. Sounds interesting huh? I don't find fault with parents who chose to vax. their kids, my oldest son just got his shots for kindergarten, he has never had a reaction to getting shots so I have always had his vax. done, just only one at a time every couple months but he is 100% up to date on his shots. My youngest however (the one this post is about) had a severe reaction both times and that's why I weighed the risks and benefits and my hubby and I chose to not let him have anymore shots. I don't know why I even feel the need to tell you this since it's my children and my choice. Perhaps if you're looking a fight you should go else where and bring your drama somewhere else. This post isn't even about vax are evil or vax. or great. This is about my child and my Dr. taking me rights away and how upset and concerned I am. Don't attack me for no good reason and go be a bitch somewhere else! I DID NOT sign papers, my Dr. had never had me sign papers for either of my kids. If some of you had taken time to read this you'd see that she brought 2 shots I refused and then she came back with one. NO, I'm not sue happy. I probably won't even sue her because I don't have the money to do so I WILL however, make sure she loses her licence. Why did I trust my Dr.? She has been my oldest sons Dr. since he was born and I never had any problems with her other then this. She told me it was just things to boost his immune system I asked her if it had the mercury, ect. and she told me no. For those of you who are telling me I'm a bad mom and I should be ashamed of myself blah blah blah Shame on you for attacking me when I'm shaken up over this and then you just add me hurt to it. Moms are suppose to support each other not tear each other down like this. Regardless of your view on shots, even if you think I was wrong not to get him his shots it doesn't take away from the fact that she lied and did this behind my back so to speak. Also, I'm aware that a temp. of 106 can cause brain damage or death, that why I took him the the hospital as soon as it got high, actually it was 103 when I took him to the e.r. ! For the mom who comments "I call bullshit" I wrote this to warn other moms, vent my feeling, and maybe get some advice on how to go about having her licenced taken away. Why would I make something like this up? I'm not getting anything from it. REALLY, you're a idiot. Although I have just written alot I still feel at a total loss for words about you who have attacked me. Un-freakin-believable!
OK, I had over 200 comments. If really sad that I had to delete a ton of them because they were attacking me and/or other moms who left comments as of now it's down to 179 comments because some people were unable to control themselves and never out grew high school. This post was NOT written as a vax/no vax post only about what was done to my son. If you disagreed with me over something and did it respectfully I didn't delete or block you. The only thing I have to suggest is talk to a lawyer. One that deals with parental rights regarding health. To give those shots against your wishes is just dispicable. I'm sorry that happened to you and your little guy.
That is just wrong. No matter what a person's stance is on vax/non-vax, your right to refuse should never ever be stepped on like that. I cannot believe the audacity of some people. Dr's are not God/a god. I hope that there is something you can do about this, so that no other parent has this happen to their child!!
Its well known NOT to give those shots when they are sick. I think you have a law suit but proving he was sick that day will be your biggest obsticle. I believe by law no doctor or nurse can give your child any medication or booster or shot without your written permission. That will be your strongest part of the case, making the doctor prove you signed for those shots.

Call an information line and get some phone numbers for ones that work pro bono or on a set rate, dependin on your income. Theyre out there.

I have to sign each time my child is given a shot. Your lack of signature on a consent form will be proof that you gave no authorization.
However....if you feel you were told ONE thing and signed for it and they did something else..........I'm not sure where you'd stand
I do believe that that is malpractice and she should have her practice shut down and her lisence revoked, or at least that is that they taught me when I went to nursing school, you are his gardian, and he is not old enough to decide for himself, therefore it is your legal right to refuse anything, and since she still gave them......talk to a lawyer dude, get her fired! She had no right what so ever to push her beliefs on you. If she did it with the shots, God only knows what else she is doing out there that is just as bad if not worse!

Talk to someone that knows a lawyer who has handled a case like this. They can tell you what the procedure is to file a suit. This is wrong and who knows how many more children have been hurt by this doctor. God Bless!
