So before the triplets came, Frank and I hiked pretty much anytime we could get out to the woods.  Our dream is to one day section hike the entire AT (even the part in Canada), although I am not so sure I could handle the snow climbing parts.

Anyway, now that the girls are older, we want to start hiking with them, but before we can do an AT hike, we need to get them used to it.  So today, we headed to Aunt Sandra's FAVORITE place to run, Pigeon Hill.  We've hiked the flats around Kennesaw Mountain, but NEVER the actual Mountain part.  So today, Frank and I decided to head up the mountain with the girls!

The GIRLS did amazing.  They crawled all over rocks.  They ran, jumped, fell down, got good and dirty and had a good old time.  Daddy even taught them how to climb a tree.  They all climbed this HUGE rock that looks like and elephant!  Alyssa was having a little problem with her diaper and she kept scratching her bottom throughout the entire hike.  Frank and I even laughed about it at one point, because she was walking and scratching at the same time (later we found out why!)

I wish I had pictures of the rock, but alas, I left the camera in the car.  Frank was SO sweet and actually offered to run down the mountain to get it, but we decided against leaving me with three little girls on the trail alone the first time out.

So we did about a mile and a half up, and the kiddos started getting tired.  They weren't fussy, but they were starting to fall down more, because they were tired.  Makenna is so observant.  She saw all the people using walking sticks, and so she found herself one.  Then, we had to find two more.  Makenna figured out how to use the stick to help her balance right away.  Alyssa and Isabelle were just playing with there's.

When we got back down, we got the camera out and snapped a few shots!

After the hike, we decided that pizza was in order, so we had a cheap and quick lunch of pizza at Stevie Bs!   After lunch, Daddy ran in Kmart to buy some milk and I decided to change pullups before putting them in their carseats!

You know what I learned from this diaper change?

Hiking is now an EXTREME Sport!  Don't believe me, here's the proof!

Issy's scrapped up elbow!

But don't worry, she's a tough little girl!

Makenna's Leg!

And of course she's fine too!

However, REMEMBER when I said we laughed at Alyssa scratching her rear end!  Well, it was NO LAUGHING MATTER!!!

Sorry its so blurry, but you can see the red part!  However, what  you can't see if that there are a ton of tiny little spines sticking out of this red spot!  When we found the cacti, she apparently fell on one!  The poor thing was in so much pain that I couldn't force her to sit all the way in her carseat on the way home!

She sat like this with her rear end propped up, so that it did not touch the seat.  Frank drove about two miles an hour, and luckily we got her home safe.  Only to torture her doing this...

I finally had enough of this and went online to see what I could find.  Luckily, I found the old gauze and glue trick, which seemed to help.  We did it twice and most of them are out, but there are a few more.  Hopefully, I will be able to get the rest out after a good long nap!

She was such a trooper!  I am so proud of her!

So that's the end of our hiking adventure!  Can't wait to go again!
