"Everybody Lies"

We watch "House, MD" a lot... and that's his catch phrase... "Everybody Lies". So true. And I'm really annoyed that people lie when they don't have to! You can just tell the truth and not worry about having to remember the lie or hurt someone's feelings. Last time I checked, we aren't made of glass... we won't break if you tell us the truth - even if it does hurt!

My mom is a hyprocrite!!! She recently retired and his been whining for months that she makes less money b/c her husband is out of work and she isn't making the same money (even though she's doing the same job). And *somehow* in the same breath of complaining about how much money she DOES NOT have, she manages to tell me that she is spending money on useless crap - or taking weekend trips almost every weekend. If you don't have the money, how are you able to afford to go on a trip?

Anyway, she went on ANOTHER weekend trip this weekend... and I just found out she left her dogs with a sitter. And I'm FURIOUS!!! I hate her dogs! When she came to my house last year for Thanksgiving (uninvited), her stupid dogs tore a huge hole in our kitchen floor! It was recently renovated house! WE had to pay for it!! Then she came up last month... and I told her she had to leave her dogs at home b/c of the floor issue and the fact that my oldest son is allergic to dogs (as well as everything else under the sun). Instead of finding a sitter for those stupid dogs, she tells me that she doesn't have any one to watch them, so she will just bring them with her and leave them in the hotel room... and since she's having to do that, she won't be around as much to spend time with us b/c she has to let the dogs out often. I even told her there was no point in her coming up if she wasn't going to spend time with us... and if she brought the dogs, she would be bringing dander in to the house, making my son sick - which happened.

I am pissed that she can find a sitter for the weekend she wants to go 3 hours away to the beach b/c it's for HER and she's totally selfish... but when she has to go 10 hours away, KNOWING my son is allergic, again uninvited, and not spend any time with us (which is a waste of time, money, etc), she absolutely CANNOT find someone to keep those stupid mutts for the weekend!!! WTF?!

UGH!!! Everybody Lies... SO true!!!

And the crappy part is that I will be having the baby soon, which will be around the same time my youngest son turns 2 and she wants to come up that weekend (uninvited as always). I told her she cannot bring the dogs at all - not even to stay in the hotel b/c my oldest is allergic, I will have just had a baby and we are delay vaccinating him, so we don't want any extra germs/pet dander. Will she listen??? NOPE! I will just have to tell her that she is NOT coming up at all until my DH and I are ready to have people visit and we are ready to sit in ER for hours on end with sick kids. Screw her!!
