Someone tried to break into our van last night at a back to school event for Kenny's school that is at our church.  Really what kind of asshole breaks into vehicles that are in a church parking lot?????  Their has been an increase in the number of vehicle break in's here lately so a lot of people are just not keeping things in the car anymore and leaving the doors unlocked, that is what the police are advising to do.  Several cars that were parked near us had been raided-all were left unlocked-if you estimate that each car had $2 in change in the ashtray-the theive got a wopping $20 bucks!!!!!  I lock the doors on the van in parking lots because I don't have a choice but to leave "valuable" things in there, if I had to replace all of the carseats in the van because they were stolen I would be out between $300 and $400.  So yeah I lock my doors.  I don't have to worry about it at home, because if theives could get to the carseats in the van, they could also get to things like the computer, tv's, dvd players etc. because we keep the van in the garage.  But anyway, I want to thank the asshole that tried to get into the van and broke the handle on the back hatch.  Because of you I can not get Robby's equipment into the van until we get it fixed.  Because of you, we had to have a friend follow us home with his equipment in their vehicle because we can't get into ours.  Thanks to you I have to find a vehicle to use for the next 10 days anytime I have to take Robby anywhere because I can't get his equipment into the van!!!!!!!

My husband's boss is a wonderful man.  He heard about what happened, and their is a body shop where Tim works, and they are going to fix the handle for us.  We just have to get the part.  The shop manager looked at the this am, told us what we need, and unfortunately we had to order the part in, it was only $40, once it is here they are going to instal it for us.  So the van is getting fixed, as soon as the part arrives.  We also have access to vehicle that I can use whenever I need to for getting Robby around, thanks again to hubby's boss.  We have to leave it up there and go get it when needed.  But we can "test drive" it whenever we need to until the van is fixed.  So it could have been worse, and as usual I figured everything out, but still.....really.  For $20 tops.

Really, who breaks into cars in a parking lot of church?????

They were doing the same things at my church . Do you want me to make you more angry at what some teens did here in are town to all 4 of the special ed vans they completely destroyed them with fessies' all over the van . Broke the windshields put it this way to the point the vans could longer be used .. How devastating for the older adults that relied on those van daily , The city paid for a couple of new ones but the thought of just how sick and rude some people can and are just blows my mind .. Sorry about your van sweets .. Glad you were able to find some help .. I was so angery when I read that in paper a  few month back .. UNREAL .. Sicking to me . Show were this world is leading to .. prying on the weak , Knowing at church  you are going to trust others so why lock the doors . then the ugly of this world no that and take advantage of nice people ,, No morals no God no touch with being human in any aspect . That is the generation that is coming up .. Look out world here they come ..

sorry that this is late but oh mama... so sorry that this happened to your family's van. You must know (I know that you do..) that the people who commit these crimes are totally UNINTERESTED in the needs/rights of you or your family. These criminals are in it totally for themselves and your family is an innocent victim. I am glad that through the generosity of your husband's boss you did not have to put out a lot of your precious resources to fix the problem. The only thing that makes me feel bettter about what happened to you is that I am a firm believer in Karma and believe me... what goes around COMES around. Sorry for the problems this caused for you and your family though because I know that life can be challenging enough for you! Hugs.
