When I was at Timmy's orientation. We had to bring him to his room first, and drop off his school supplies. Then, while he stayed in the classroom, Tim and I went to the auditorium to listen to a quick welcome and run down on things from the principal. Then, back to his room to grab him and leave.
But the principal started to talk about the parents that drop off the kids, and have the ones that cling to the legs, not wanting to go... And I started to tear up. I am overly sensitive right now when it comes to Timmy going to school.
Cause I know. I know that this is the beginning of him learning how to live his own life. And soon, he won't depend on me anymore, except to make sure he has the basics. KWIM? Oh my.
What I was happy with is that he already has a friend in his class. There is a little boy that lives a few doors down that he plays with that is in there. One of Tim's old schoolmates has a daughter in the class too. What a small world. lol
Wednesday, it all begins. :-(
I think I will sign up to help with the field trips and what not.
