Who allows their child to act like this.

A few months ago I took a job working for a telephone survey place. It's not a great job but it's a job it pays the bills and feeds the kids and keeps a roof over our heads.In this economy I figure I am lucky to have a job . Now I have worked call centers before so I am pretty used to how rude many people are to people on the phone and it doesn't bother me... I know I am just a voice on the phone and these people are in the privacy of their own homes.

However .... an incident happened yesterday that appalled even me! The young girl sitting next to me .... A sweet little thing putting her way through college got a call that even shocked me. The phone beeped in she gave her little speal " I am Blah Blah.. I'm calling on behalf Blah Blah  to do a research survey ---- Blah Blah Blah and this little girl on the phone yelled at her..

"WE DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR STUPID SURVEY AND WE DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU!!! "

the most appaling thing was that the MOTHER ( I use the term loosely) was in the background LAUGHING!!!

I thought I had heard everything but OMG!!! Who on earth allows their child to talk to an adult and a perfect stranger in this manner. What a ray of sunshine this little girl is going to turn out to be!!! Good Lord who allows their child to speak in this manner to anyone let alone encouraging it by laughing about it. I know I am a little old fashioned when it comes to my kids and how they act but for petes sakes... I feel sorry for everyone who encounters this child as a service personel for the rest of her life..

My God what on earth happened to teaching your children basic manners and respect!

I know exactly what you guys are going through!  Me and my husband worked raising money for the firefighter's for their fire safety programs!  and people are sooooooo mean, the kids are rude and alot of the times the parents tell the kids what to say because they are to cowardish to take the call themselves.  Luckily the kids are going back to school and you'll be talking to the rich SAHM's or the grumpy old folks.  Some of the older people are sweet hearts and make your day.
