Our Summer 2009

 We have had a busy summer so far. There is still 3 more weeks until the kids go back to school. Here in pictures is what we have been up to all summer....

In early July we went to Howe Caverns. It was about 5 hours from us but well worth it.

The kids really enjoyed themselves. I wasn't sure because they are 17,15,12 but they did like it.  We had a nice tour of NY State & the kids each got a turn sitting in the front reading the map.

Our next stop was to my FIL's house. He lives upstate NY & we try to visit every summer. We were there for 2 1/2 days and had a nice time. They were riding the quad & having fun!!

Our next stop was our annual trip to PA for a big family reunion. We stopped at an old fashion diner along they way. The kids really loved that there was music box right on the table. They all picked a song.

This was our 10th yr at LuKans. It is great fun & we all enjoy it!! We have field day, parties and lots of sports & swimming.

After a long day it's time to party!!!

We went to Fire Island and soaked up the sun(with sunblock of course) & caught some beautiful sunsets! Kevin riding out a wave...Or the wave getting him!!

Just last week I went to Hershey Park with my Girl Scouts. Its always lots of fun when there are seven 17 yo girls together!!!

I love these girls!!!!

On Saturday I went to my brother Joe's house for a family reunion with my family...There is never a dull moment when my family is around!!! But this time everyone was well behaved...

Here is a pix of my family. Just my niece Amanda is missing.We get together every summer. No matter what we all have to go to the reunion.

I have been busy most of the summer and with 3 more weeks left I am sure there will be more to come!!!!

I went to Howe Cavens when I was alittle girl and I still remeber how much fun I had. Looks like you had a great summer.

We went to Howe Caverns before we moved to Texas....we camped at a State Park that was very close to it, it rained all weekend, we washed in the sinks and my son burned his hand pretty bad the moment we set up camp....ah, good times!  : )   But, despite the less than desirable moments, GREAT memories were made and we want to go back some day! (BTW, I have a picture with my boys standing at that same sifting spot!!!) : )

You have been a busy girl! Looks like LOTS of fun though :o) I went to SUNY Cobleskill for college and it is really close to Howe Caverns but I never made it there! I will have to take my boys there sometime! Where in Upstate NY did you go?

  I Loved all of the pictures; Families have really got away from finding time to make plans to spend time together, especially family reunions and stuff- That is great that your family continues to stay close! Looks like the kids were having lots of fun!
