OMG PIT BULL ATTACK!!

That's what you see when a Dog that Looks Pit or pit mix bites someone...It is sad really because SO many Mutts can Look like Pits...(Pits are a Terrier breed...NOT just an open term for dogs that LOOK like APBTs)
But I have watched the news and Have seen 20 dog bite cases in the last few months...only ONE Claimed it was a Pit...and it Openly Said PIT BULL BITES MAN IN FACE...
every other one said...Dog Attacks____!
Why is it when they think it is a Pitty (Most likley its NOT) that it is PIT BULL ATTACKS....Seems Bias to me.
Oh and No Pit bulls are NOT Vicious...they are the ONLY Breed that has had their Human agression specifically Bred out of them....(I mean Think about it....its a DOG Fight, People are breaking these things up...do you REALLY think that the Dog would Live if it bit its Trainer..Ugh No.)
If You HATE pit bulls...Do you Have a Good Reason? Or are you a Media sheep? who thinks that because they call a Dog a Pit that it 100% of the time is?...
I know its easier to be stupid, That's OK that's is what America is anymore....lets Kill a Whole Breed wit no real Facts...Because this is America, and what is easiest is to listen to the Media blow things up and then watch Idiots Follow suit and Want a Whole Breed of Dogs Gone.
A Breed of Dogs who have Saved American Soldiers, That where Called American Heroes for the Work they did in wars...But lets No EVER look at what they Did/ can do for us....Lets Follow Blindly as the Herd slaughters for no reason.

Their Jaws DO NOT LOCK!!!! I mean Really who ever buys this has to have a hole in there head? How would they eat? How would they Chew toys? I mean COME ON!
The REASON they where Bred it to KILL OTHER DOGS..Your Right they Do Kill other Dogs...I do not Deny this, Its why I don't take My Pit mix to dog parks.
Pits Dont "Blackout" and they are TRAINED to have People get in the way of their Attacks...Its FACT.
Great Danes can Cause MAJOR Damage (I have owned one)...In Many cases If they turn Its More Damaging then a Pitbull bite...Because they are a Boar Hunting Dog they are Trained to go for the Head Area...Pits are not, as they where Bred to Fight...Most Trainers/Breeders where only looking to WIN...Not KILL.
Sorry But the Locking Jaw Comment Really just made me believe You have Little clie of what your Talking about.
I don't recall Micheal Vick having dog fights with Golden Retrievers.
Well Fact is that not all of those Dogs where True Pitbulls...I am Talking APBT *American pitbull Terriors* Many of them where Mixes claimed to be True pits.
I just think it's stupid that if it's a mutt of any other mix it's a 'dog attack' but if it was even like 1/8 pit bull it's a pit bull attack. It's better to assume that all dogs are dangerous around kids, take the precautions to not leave any animal alone with a child. Even the best breed of dog can be vicious sometimes. I just want to know who decided that pit bulls would be the ones to take all the blame.
so i finally read the other comments lol...and you mentioned great danes so I had to throw in another breed, Rottweiler and chihuahuas. Not saying all of them are bad I'm just saying I've never had a pleasant run in with either breed and yet people get chihuahuas all the time because they are small.
pit bulls = someone to blame, other than realizing the potential for a cocker spaniel or shnauzer to react violently
peopel WANT pit bulls to be "vicious baby killing beasts" it gives them a breed to point a finger at.
they dont WANT golden retrievers to be bad, because most "respectable" families own "respectable" dogs...
when it's "COMES WITH THE BREED" then personal responsibility (ie, humans mistreating dogs) goes out the window. and they can keep sh*t-kicking fido in the face when theyre mad and not think twice about it. after all, fido is a lab, not a pit bull!
truth is ANY dog can attack, maul and kill your child.
that's scary.
but its easier to say PIT BULLS attack maul and kill. it gets fido off the hot seat...
btw, alot of people that talk smack on pits, are afriad of dogs. not all of them, but ALOT... alot of folks that dislike pits, kick, hit or otherwise abuse their dogs. i have seen this. Not saying "everyone" but in the ratios ive run into. are people that have dysfunctional relationships with dogs anyways.
Perhaps I should have told you that we used to own pits.
I really dont care if you used to own pits....I know Allot of people who have owned pits who Know Nothing about the breed...or about proper care.
If you haven't Taken the time to learn the TRUTHS about the Breed you shouldn't own them...I did allot of research about the Breeds history, Temperament, Training, and Pros and Cons...then read up on Myths --Like the Locking Jaw MYTH--

Many dogs are specifically bred for certain tasks. Pits were bred for fighting. Hence the large, locking jaws. And it is b/c of thier genetic disposition and thier ability to do MAJOR damage that they are feared. They are extremely strong and it is nearly impossible to get them off of you. I don't dislike the dogs, however, I am not ignorant of thier purpose. I don't recall Micheal Vick having dog fights with Golden Retrievers. As far as them not being HUMAN aggressive...well, that may be true but sometimes humans get in the line of fire as they charge another dog. And in the midst of an attack against an animal they kinda blackout and will not respond to a person's command to let the other animal go. They clamp down and do not let go until they are exhausted. Perhaps they have been maligned in the media somewhat, but it would be very naive to think that they never fulfill the purpose for which they were bred.
