My husband and I decided that we were going to get the kids involved in a few more activities this year so that they could meet more kids and have a few more friends.
Little did I know at the time that I would be driving all over town almost every day of the week. LOL
So, here is our upcoming schedule:
Monday nights - Cub Scouts (Tigers, I think?) for Ascher and Webelos for Liam. This starts on the 14th of September.
Tuesday nights - soccer practice for both Liam and Ascher (yea! They are both on the same team and they have Ascher's coach from last year who was OUTSTANDING!). This starts next week.
Wednesday nights - all three kids will be participating in AWANA's (Christian kids organization) and they are nice enough to have a parent's meeting as well. So I get to be with other adults while the kids are in their groups: Nafeeza in the 2's and 3's (called Puggles), Ascher in the Sparks (K - 2nd grade) and Liam will be in T&T (3rd - 6th grades). At least they all meet at the same time. This starts on the 9th of September.
Thursday nights - soccer practice again.
Friday - NOTHING! Except that is my house cleaning day.
Saturday - church and/or soccer games. Soccer games are on Saturdays, the same day we go to church. So, if the game is early enough we will go from the game to church. If the game is late enough the kids will go to religious classes and then game. Or, we may have to miss out on church and just go to the game if the time falls in between. Games start the first Saturday after labor day.
Sunday - we will be visiting churches as I do not like the kids to completely abandon church services because of soccer season (which ends at the beginning of October).
Second Tuesday of every month - Homeschool group game day!
Last Thursday of every month (except on holidays) - Homeschool group field trip day!
As yet undetermined - my husband and I are still talking to a friend of ours about guitar lessons for Ascher (he volunteered to teach Ascher for free), but we have nothing to do with Liam and as $$$ is tight, unless it is free, we cannot add in more lessons/activities. The above mentioned items are going to be expensive enough as it is (still have to get uniforms for cub scouts and webelos, handbooks for the above, I have no idea what AWANA's is going to require, dues for cub scouts, webelos and homeschool group, soccer gear, gas money to all these activities, and other incidental costs that arise).
Throw in a smattering of various other appointments (doctor's, etc...) and we are going to be spending more time running around then ever before.
I think that's all of it... I hope I'm not forgetting something. LOL
