We have some very exciting events coming up fast.

In two weeks, my children start school. Kristopher is five and starts kindergarten at the elementary school my own younger brother attended many years ago. My daughter Sara is going to start preschool, and my baby girl will begin daycare.

Also, my daughters have birthdays within two days of each other, exactly when all these school happenings... happen. Sara turns THREE! and Rosie turns ONE! and I am just flabbergasted that the past year went by so quickly. It doesn't even feel like I've been breastfeeding that long, time has gone so fast.

I feel more like a mommy now than ever before. I'm finally leaving the Babyhood Days and entering the next phase of raising my children. I'm sad that their father will miss so much day to day development, but I believe the kids will do better and be happier without so much turmoil and tension in the home.

So, anyone who wants to come to a big birthday party--show up on Sunday the 30th!

CAKE!

I can smell cake all the way from Houston!

I know what you mean, I now have a second grader and a pre-K-er.  Tonight we have an open house to see the little one's class & meet her teacher, and all the grandparents will be there too. It seems like time keeps speeding up faster & faster, I wake up Monday and by the time I finish my coffee it's Wednesday. All I did in between was blink!

I can not tell you how fast the college years creeps up on you... My oldest son's senior year was a blur of busy days and all I kept thinking at his graduation was that little boy playing with his trains and hearing his squeeky little voice and coloring with him..... Geez, I'm feeling like a sap right now. I'm am soooo glad I had 3 kids... 2 more at home to eat cake with is indeed a blessing !!!

I haven't read all the reponses yet, but let me say "ROSIE POSIE IS A WHOLE YEAR OLD???!!!!  whether anyone else already said it or not.  I can't believe she's so big, now.  The kids all look way too happy for the end of summer and the beginning of school.  That will change in a few years.
