I went back to cloth diapers!

So about a year ago I decided I wanted to switch to cloth diapers in fact I have a previous journal post talking about it.  Jadzia was the only one left in diapers but we planned on having more kids so i thought it would be a good investment.  I wanted to try it out so not knowing much about cloth diapers I decided to buy 5 fuzzi bunz diapers.   At first I loved them and was ready to buy more.  But then they started to leak horribly and I thought they were way too bulky and her clothes no longer looked right so I gave up on them.

Come to find out I was using the wrong detergent therefor creating a film that decreased the diapers' absorbancy.  That still didn't solve the bulky problem and I didn't like my daughter looking like she had a giant butt everywhere we went . I went to a stork affair a couple of weeks before Ronan was born and came acrossed a baby wearing booth.  The lady at the booth not only had a store dedicated to baby wearing but also cloth diapering.    After everything that went on with Ronan I had put the store in the back of my mind until the other day when I stumbled upon a random advertisement for the store.  That's when I decided I would take a look  and see if they had a better fitting cloth diaper.  I'm very excited by what I found.  This store had just about every cloth diaper imaginable.

I finally decided I wanted to go for it and decided on the Bum genius fitted snapping diapers for day and their pocket with extra lining for night.  Today was my first day and I have to say i've been impressed.  The day diapers held together perrfect with no leaks not even during nap time.  Now the test tonight will be if the night time ones will keep them dry all night

I love the way they look and feel. But I have to say I'm also very impressed with the cloth wipes I purchased. They work better than disposable and a lot more durable.  I ended up taking home 21 cloth diapers anf two dozen cloth wipes.  I'm hoping this will be enough since I do laundry everyday.  The greatest thing about these is the same size diaper fits my 2 month old as my 22 month old and they look like they were made just for them  due to all the adjustable snaps.  Here's to hoping the night diapers stay leak free all night!

I am sooo thinking about going cloth this time around....or at least half time.  I love Bum Genius <3  They are too cute please et me know how the night time goes becuase if it goes well I will order some of these this week :)
