It's about 2 in the morning and honestly I'm a little moody. I'm getting so sick and tired of waiting on all these doctors to tell me if I'm ready or not to have my baby.
Keven and I went in for another NST today, it's in the same part of the hospital that I'm supposed to be getting my amnio on monday. But i found out that my OBs secretary only scheduled me for a consult. Ummm OK then that doesn't even make sense considering I'm 37 weeks already, if i wait any longer than monday to get an amnio then what the hell is the point other that to put me through pain and stress??? It should be ok though because i talked to the receptionist at the desk and she said she'd put in a note that they might be doing an amnio too... so I took care of that problem by myself.
I'm just getting so frustrated with all these nurses screwing up... I mean, how is that supposed to make me feel when i know that they're going to be helping deliver my baby???
Anyhoo, I tested positive for GBS but that shouldn't be a problem because I'm going to be induced and they'll have plenty of time to give me the antibiotic. I just need to remember to right it down just in case i get some dumb ass nurse that doesn't check or something (the hospital I'm at seems to be a learning hospitals, they make too many mistakes)
Comments:
ok, your not my doctor... and he thinks that the baby should be out now (if you even read previous posts you'd know i was high risk) so please get all the facts or shut the hell up...
To me 37 weeks could be considered early but you have to look at everything. I have not read your other journals but from this one I did pick up that you are high-risk. The longer you wait the worse it could be on you and/or the baby.
I wish the best for you and the baby. It's your body, your health and your baby so it is up to you what you do. I am sure that you know what is best. Good luck. I hope the baby is happy and healthy.
#1 grow up youre about to be a parent.
#2 have you actually researched YOURSELF whether the induction is necesary or not? or are you just blindly following your doctor? Unless you have something thats life-threatening, such as pre-E, then chances are the induction isnt necesary, and especially not at 37 weeks. And if you can wait 38 weeks why not 39? or 40? what is REALLY a 2 weeks difference in YOUR SPECIFIC case?
#3 an induction this early on has an OVER 50% chance of causing an emergency c-section. That is because your body will fight the induction, and try to keep the baby in, and the meds can be dangerous, and cause the baby to go into distress. Do you know what meds your doctor plans on using? have you researched these meds? (I specifically refer to cytotec, its very dangerous, and the FDA has a big "warning do NOT use on pregnant women" on it... and yet many doctors will use it anyways, ESPECIALLY for a very early induction)
My point is, if youre not going to bother to research anything and blindly listen to your doctors "recomendations" (AKA lets fit you into MY schedule... not yours or babies) then dont be shocked at the outcome.
Not to mention you keep talking about how many mistakes their making and all that, but youre still willing to blindly listen to everything they say.

37 weeks is nowhere NEAR done! Pregnancies can last until 42 weeks, and you trying to evict your baby early is very unhealthy! Let your baby decide when it's time to be born!!! Induction is very dangerous, and to do it so early... *shakes heaD* please reconsider I feel so sad for your baby!
