What does your typical day look like as a mom?  For me, everything just changed because the kids started back in school.  David is in Kindergarden now and Marissa is in pre-school.  So, now the mornings are all about getting the kids up and ready for school.  I still have Joseph to look after during the day, but it is much easier to get some things done.

After school, it's usually snack time and then nap time.  This is the time of day I can get things done.  I'll keep up with correspondence, do laundry and get dinner ready.  After nap time, it's play time for the kids.  Since it's so nice out, they are usually playing outside.  On rainy days, they'll stay in and play with their Thomas the Tank Engine toys or color or something.  Sometimes, they'll just want me to throw in a DVD for them.  Those are times I can get some stuff done too, like take a shower!  When dad gets home from work, I'm able to have a little help too.  The evenings are play time or story time.  Every couple of weeks, I'll cut boys hair with our Wahl clippers.  Having your own set and learning how to cut hair saves a lot of money in this down economy.  And we're always looking for that!  We go out to eat only about once a week to try save money too.  The rest of the week is at home trying to get the kids to eat their vegetables.

We put the kids down around 8:30, and if I'm not too completely pooped, I'll stay up a bit with my husband.  Well, that's a day in the life.
