re: my little shih-tzu-mix doggie, who is almost 2yo.
The main vet examined her yesterday, and said Sophie is not a good candidate for the surgery, so he put her on some more meds, and we have to wait and see. Hopefully, by Friday, there will be a change. But, how can meds help dislocated kneecaps? She is in agony, and I am so upset that my neck and back are in a big spasm. I am in pain with her.
How do you decide when pain is bad enough or frequent enough or her life is such poor quaility that I have a right to take that life? But this is torment! She looks at me, and I know she is thinking, Why don't you do something. She trusts me.
