Ahem.

O.o

I am very intolerant.

Of several things.

But we'll focus on one.

Racism.

.... I hate racism. I hate people being referred to as black, white, mexican, etc.

Generalizing a race was so 1940's, America.

Assuming all Mexicans are illegal and making snide remarks about how they should learn to speak English to live in this country is like saying all white people are trailer trash that needs to learn how to read before they get hired at Wal-Mart.

X.x

I'm sure if you moved to a foriegn country you'd still speak English primarily. And I'm also assuming you wouldn't know words like, "obscure, uncooperative, dysfuntional, combative, symbolism" or "establishment" in that native language of their country. It would takes months, or even years to learn a complete language.

Anyways. I can honestly say I've spoken to people for hours before without realizing that they aren't white. I don't look at people and ponder their sexuality, their ethnicity, their religion.

All I see are people.

Humans.

Racism is beyond me. It is cruel and unethical.

You think these casual things you say degrading and insulting immigrants to a country that was FOUNDED by immigrants to these shores are innocent, and justified by your birth certificate and social security card.

Love, you are so wrong.

Watch a video of a Nazi gas chamber. Tell me how you justify racism, of any kind, against any person, against any human, in any country.

::sigh:: It's just so sad to see people hate so freely. We are all humans. African, Chinese, Hispanic, Caucasian, Indian, Muslim.

             HUMAN

Awesome.

You know what else pisses me off? That a lot of the people they're talking about have been here for several generations and CHOOSE to primarily speak their homeland language because it's tradition. I had an ignorant friend who said that signs written in two languages pissed her off. I'm pissed off at the ignorance of this country.

You know what really pisses those people off? They're jealous because they don't understant what the other people are saying and they can only speak one language ;)

I'm not racist... I hate everyone equally =)

true.story.

lol

I don't believe anyone should be judged on which language they choose to speak, what religion they follow, or who they decided to crawl into bed with at night. This is America and we are supposed to be a FREE country. We were founded on the principles of having the freedom of choice no matter what the choice may be. And you're right we are a nation founded by immigrants. Everyone should be welcome here, but everyone should be made to follow the same rules. If you choose to move to this country, then you choose to follow the same rules we do here. You can't move to American from the middle east and get away with killing your wife because it's legal in your home country, you should be able to disobey the rest of our laws and ways of life either.

I do not, agree with people coming in from other countries, WHATEVER country it may be, working illegally, causing our taxes to get raised, going to school at our universities fro free when my child will be turned away because we cant afford to put the through college, but we work our asses off so we're not poor enough for them to get financial aid and so on. I believe everyone deserves the right to live in a free country but if you're going to live here then you need to abide by the same rules we have to, that is simply all i ask.

I mean absoultely no disrespect to any one, it's simply my opinion. Racisim is just not tolerable... and there seems to be a fine line between being racist, and believing in our laws...and I dont think thats fair.

Everyone in America should obey rules and laws. But I think only American's that have NEVER broken a law or rule have the right to be accusatory in that aspect. Otherwise they are huge hypocrites.

Everyone in America should obey laws - like, wearing their seatbelts, not drinking and driving, no drugs, contraband or smoking weed, not holding possession of illegal weapons, dodging taxes, commiting forgery, assault. But hey, who is keeping count? Americans, do sometime illegal?

Neva.

And raised taxes have to do with a lot of things, not just immigrants. It's unfair to even think about blaming immigrants for raised taxes. I mean, come one. Like Americans don't contribute to financial stress in the American economy?

As far as colleges go, I think it's super people from other countries can pursue college educations and apply themselves and hopefully create a better reputation for their race. I am pretty darn thankful they have that opportunity. I hope my son applies himself well enough to achieve scholarships and that he'll work to help pay his way through college. :-\
