Homemade Silly Putty

INGREDIENTS

1 bottle (about 8 ounces) white glue

Food Coloring

Plastic container with lid

1 cup liquid starch

DIRECTIONS

1. Mix glue and food color in disposable plastic container.

2. Stir in starch a little at a time. Keep stirring until mixture looks rubbery like putty. Knead 5 to 10 minutes to achieve good consistency.

3. Stir in more starch if it is too runny. Store in an airtight container.

Tips Test Kitchen Tips:

Liquid starch may be found in Arts & Crafts supply stores and some grocery stores.

If you have extra liquid after kneading, pour it off and lightly blot putty with paper towel.

To avoid stained hands, wear latex gloves.

Thanks ... I've made homemade play-dough on many occasions, good to have the recipe for silly putty now too.
