A Weekend Getaway

I would chose to go to a cabin in the woods near a creek that has mini-waterfalls.  This would have to take place in the late fall when the air is nice and crisp.  I would take jeans, a cashmere sweater, wooly socks, and sandals.  (YEP!  I wear SOCKS with my SANDALS! LOL).  I would cook chili on a wood stove while my DH, DD, and DS and the dog inspect the creek and collect "pretties" to look at under a maginifying glass in the evening.  I would most definately bring a book to read while the chili is cooking.  I just don't know yet, what to read.  I hate romance novels, vampires, and science fiction.  Hmm...I will have to figure out what to read exactly.  So far since I graduated in May I have read The Shack and The Road.  Maybe something along those lines?
