"I'M IN A GLASS CASE OF EMOTION!!"

Ok. first of all, a little background: I work as a customer service rep in a warehouse. We have two shifts: my shift (the day shift) from 7:30 - 5, and the night shift, from 5-11, or whenever they finish their work.

Well the night shift supervisor comes in a couple hours early, and she's chatting with us girls at the front, when I overhear her saying that her daughter is switching from private to public school, and blah blah blah, her daughter is SOOOO smart, etc. THEN, she continues, saying that people who went to public school are stupid. She said it just like that. Verbatim.

Let me just add here that obviously, I realize the curriculum for private schools is a little more... detailed than that of a public school, but that doesn't have anything to do with the overall intelligence of public school students. I've met some brilliant people in public schools.

So I look up at her and I tell her (very calmly, which really isn't like me), that "I went to public school all my life, and I'm not stupid," to which she replied, "is that why you work here?"

EXCUSE ME?! WTF IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?! I was so pissed I couldn't even think of anything to say. Fine -- yes, I dropped out of college. Yeah, I am in what some people might look at as a less-than-reputable job. But at least I'm WORKING ON THAT. I'm busting my ass right now to get my law degree, I had a ONE HUNDRED PERCENT average in English in college before I dropped out, and this bitch is trying to tell me that I'M STUPID!?

This chick is older than me (I'm 23), she has a degree in History, and she STILL isn't shit. She's a nobody. I, at my worst potential, am better than she will ever add up to be. How dare SHE take a stab at my intelligence? Who is SHE to talk!? She's a night crew supervisor -- not even a manager -- for this company after ten whole years of working with them. Big FAH-REAKIN whoop.

I'm a pretty laid back person. I don't let things bother me. But if there's anything that keys me up, it's jerks. And she is the mother of all jerks.

UGH! Sorry. Had to get that out there. This is the worst week EVER.

I know the feeling ,, I hate it when people I know assume I'm idiot because of the present life circumstances ... Course I hate judgemental people any way .. But know the feeling hon ... Keep in mind though hon people with that superiour attitude don't have any motivations for change ... They think they are so fantastic they are just going to stay in their little world their whole life ... What a pity  and what a waiste

I am really sorry to hear that but some people have to go around belittling whoever they can because they have not done anything great with their life. Well just remember not everyone is a narrow minded bitch so just try to stay positive and don't ever let NE one bring u down....

And why is SHE working there then too?  Don't let her get you down. Intelligence has nothing to do with schools. It has to do with how a child's brain was formed in the first six years of life.  That is when not only the body's metabilism is fully set for life but also the amount of brain activity is mainly set for life too.
