So I am sure you guys remember me complaining about not being to find vegan friendly bread. Well this morning my eldest asked for some toast for breakfast and i thought " oh man that sounds good." So anyway i get the bread out and i saw a package of natures own bread still good that i bought before i took on this endeavor. While my sons toast is cooking i glance at the ingredients. And come to find out there are no amnimal products used to make that bread. OmFg. I mean seriously the entire time i was complaining about not being able to find bread that I can eat and come to find out i had some in the pantry the whole time?! lmao. Of course that would happen to me.  So I celebrated with 4 slices of toast with apple butter lol.

Can you believe I made it a whole 7 days without anything animal derrived aside from yesterdays small bite of ramen lol. I am soooo proud of myself.  Still down 2 lbs for the whole week without any fluctuations so that rocks. When I went shopping last week I was trying to find some good soy yogurt. Well our walmart only carries 1 brand and that is stony fields O'soy brand. When I bought it it had soy in the name so I didn't check the ingredients. Well my middle son seth ran out of gogurt so I let him have some of the soy yogurt i bought for myself.  After I gave it to him i was reading the package and found out that while milk isn't listed in the ingredients but in the allergin list it says it contains milk. It says the live active cultures are milk based. I have to say I was surprised about that. Whats the point in making a soy yogurt if there is going to be milk in it? It doesn't make a whole heck of alot of sense. So i guess the kids get to keep that one and maybe get rid of the baby's thrush rash.

Anyway I am running low on food and have to make things stretch for the next couple of days which shouldn't be too hard. But just to be safe I made hambuger helper lasagna for the kids. THey were completely thrilled yet it still felt a little selfish that i resorted to making crap while i ate the healthy leftovers from last night. . I do have to say that this is the first time I managed any meat in the last couple of weeks and it kind of grossed me out. The smell, the look, the horrid videos that i saw popped into my head while i was cooking it. So if only two weeks off of it can do that maybe the cheese thing wont be so hard to kick.

So on to the menu

8;00  4 slices of toast with apple butter

10;00 3 natures own peanut butter cookies ( i know not healthy)

12;00 leftover lentil chilli w/ tortilla chips

6;00 leftover chilli again lol only with crackers this time
