So the baby dropped low -- kind of floating just above the pubic bone. I've got a freakishly long torso so there has been a lot of room and the stretching has been slow and I've been careful to keep the skin supple. I thought I was out of the woods since this is the last month!
I wake up just about a week ago to low belly itching. It felt odd, so I though I'd gotten myself another rash. I can't see all the way down there so I get a hand mirror. EEEEEEEEKKKKK! Dark purple striations that look like I've been mauled by a tiger.
NoooooO! Say it ain't so! Damn damn damn double damn doggonit!
Curse you baby dragon, couldn't you have moved down SLOWLY!?
My probably futile aggressive couter attack includes 4-5 times a day slathering on various vitamin E rich oils, aloe and massaging the belly. It's a good thing I've got an arsenal of oils in the house at all times.
I know three important things about stretch marks: 1 they are deep scars; 2 you have a better chance of lessening their impact when they are red/pink and young; 3 Mature stretch marks tend to fade over a period of time.
Wee Hours AM
I'm up to pee anyway so first goes on the aloe -- very soothing.
Then a layer of virgin coconut oil premixed with raw shea butter.
Then a dollop of sticky vitamin E oil.
Go back to bed...Massage massage massage ... fall asleep.
Normal Human AM hours
Aloe and coconut oil/shea butter
Massage Buddha Belly
Afternoon
Aloe and cocoa butter (smells yummy but I have to melt it first because it is pure)
Massage Buddha
Evening
Aloe and either coco butter or the coconut oil/shea butter
Massage Buddha
Before Bed
Aloe
Plain raw shea butter (it is thick and keeps on all night absorbing slowly)
Top with vitamin E oil
Massage massage massa...zzzzzZZZZZzzz
So far the angry purpleness went away the same day I started slathering myself in oil. They are usually a red/pink and sometimes with a tinge of pale lavender purple if I let the skin get too dry (when they start to itch I know I waited to long to reapply). Hopefully I got to them in time before they got really severe.
Comments:
turn around and look just above your backside...that's a nice place for them to hide too
I thought I was doing good this last time. Then I looked at my backside in the mirror. To find that I had a ton down the backs of my legs! So yeah good luck!
Let me know how it goes. I didn't get any the first time, but I think I may this time!

Good luck with that.
Stretch marks are marks of honor to me, so I'm happy to have them. :)
