Today I could feel the weather starting to turn. I felt a cool breeze. There is also rain. It feels beautiful! It is coming to my favorite part of the year....Fall. I remember one of my favorite books I used to read as a child. It was called "Four Seasons at the Farm". It told a story of young girl on her farm at different times of the year. My favorite part was when the season turned to Fall. There she sat at her bedroom window overlooking the farm. You could see dim lights all throughout the windows of the old country house. The sun had set and it was twilight. You could feel the chilly weather. You could almost hear laughter fill the house. Amazing how a book stirs up the imagination.

So yesterday, I taught Nathan the four seasons, with his Usborne Look and Say "Weather" book. There I turned the page to Fall. I saw the smiling faces, leaves blowing in the wind, and green grass. The little people had on their scarfs and "warm" clothes. And I just got that warm feeling. Well, cold weather means a warm heart :)

As I read to my children everyday, I wonder what kind of memories will they have about their favorite book? What kind of wonderful and interesting places will their imagination visit? I am so happy/excited to read and bring a book to life for them. What places will we travel to? Where will we go and what will we do there? Read and spend quality time with your children. Create a happy place. Create a memory. Create a moment.
