So it is the beginning of the second week which is awesome. My dh came home from over the road truck driving today after being gone for a couple of weeks. It's nice to have him home but at the same time it's not. It's hard to explain it's just that his first day home is always always chaotic. Between the kids and dh everyone is excited to see eachother and dh feels the need to pick on everyone and bitch about me spending money and whatnot. So his first day home is always hard.

I have dealt with him making comments and asking for every little detail about what i've spent where i spent it and why i spent it. Than he starts poking fun about my computer usage and cant understand that i can just pull vegan recipes out of my ass. So the entire time I am trying to plan the menu for the rest of the week he is complaining that I am on the computer too much. Like I don't get interrupted every couple of minutes and have to deal with him complaining, kids fighting/crying or messes.  I had to explain to him that learning new things including recipes take time. He did however make it easy on me as far as meals go. I thought I would have to make him seperate meaty meals while he was home. But he told me not to worry about that just the occasional lunch request for beanie weanies (gross but not to hard to handle). Thank goodness because when i made the hamburger helper for the kids it did gross me out just a little bit. Anyway the chaos should die down by the end of the day tomorrow and his complaining usually ceases around the second day so i have my fingers crossed.  I do have to repeat something my dh told me earlier. He said to me after the arguing died down that he was proud of me for giving up meat and animal products (though I am not entirely sure why since he likes those things so much) it that made me feel good anyway. 

Oh I forgot to mention my air conditoiner froze up today so no heat was allowed (my husband sweats very easily) Which meant I couldn't cook in the afternoon.

So I had

9:00 4 slices of toast with apple butter

11:00 salad

2:00 peanut butter cookies (vegan friendly of course)

6:00 bowl of kashi autumn wheat cereal w/ soy milk.

The air conditioner started working about 8:00 so after the kids went to bed i was really craving some pasta

9:00 bowl of tomato basil penne pasta
