So today is day 9 completely vegan, and it was pretty easy since I got to go the the grocery store. WOOHOO more food! However I should have known better when my dh told me not to worry about making him seperate meals. He has changed his mind. But he claims that he will cook for himself. (I will believe that when i see it).

He is starting to get irritating though about it because he mentioned having his mom an her s/o over for steak tomorrow. I mean come on. He knows what I am trying to do here. I just know the whole time I am going to be mocked and people will be  overly enjoying their steak on purpose and somebody will try and get me to take a bite. It's like he is saying "Hey take a look at this freak and her tofu!!!" I told him that i didn't care, that i can make something for myself. Which i dont care if they come over for dinner but does it have to be steak? I mean seriously he has been griping ever since he got home about how much i have spent on groceries while he was gone. Which isnt very much i mean he is easily talking about 50 dollars for one dinner alone.

It's almost as if he is having some sort of internal struggle because one minute he's proud of me for trying to switch to a vegan and the next minute he's trying to tempt me with talk of steak and potatoes loaded with cheese, butter, and sour cream.  And than he wanted me to get a package of ding dongs and i got really frustrated and called him a fat ass which i have apologized for already, but seriously dont complain to me about how your overweight and than shove fat, sugar, and dead carcass that you can't even digest properly in your body and wonder why your big.  EERRGH getting frustrated again. So if i offended anyone with that last sentence I am sorry.

Anyway !!! menu time

Breakfast - two slices of toast with apple butter

snack -  handful of nut mixture

lunch - okra (i didnt have time to have a better lunch

snack - two peanut butter cookies (vegan frienly naturally)

Dinner - tofu manicotti (which was good but the tofu was a bit bland it needs something im not sure what but something)

I'm sorry your DH is trying to sabotage you. Shame on him! It would be fun if he would jump on board...even if he only did it for a month (maybe that would be long enough for him to see a difference)?? Maybe you can swing a deal with him...while he is home he will try? If they do eat steak (that sucks)...remind him when he is complaining about the cost of food that HE is the one who bought steaks! Can't you have a baked potato with vegan margarine and soy sour cream? And how about some of these?
