WHO told my son that a Happy Meal is a Happy Meal, and not "Happy Food" like he used to say?
That a helicopter is not "aaaah guapper"?
That it's spaghetti and not "Big Eddie"?
That he eats chicken nuggets, not "kitten uggets"?
Who told him that Spiderman has a three-syllable name instead of a mumbled "mummmammm"?
That a chair is not "gay"?
That what he thought was "ou-yide" actually has a t and an s?
That his "yauce" and "yoap" start with s instead of y?
Sure, I didn't use "his" words with him (okay I will admit that I will sometimes eat a pb&j "wannich" but isn't that just the cutest?), but I never actively encouraged him to say them right. I love his individuality and inventiveness coming through in his vocabulary. I guess it's just another sign that my baby is growing up.
