Why I'm leaving Camera Work Shop

I hope that you will scroll down and  read this from the bottom to the top to  see why I am leaving this group.  I have met some great ladies here and hope to keep in contact with them in other groups. Oh and to set the record straight I am not senile, I am of sound mind, and I do have an education.  My replies are in red in the emails below.

Kathy, is this how you want your administrators acting?  My replies are in red.

I'm sorry I didn't back to you sooner, I wasn't feel well and needed to give this some though.........

 

Sometimes people get rubbed the wrong way and she did take this back channel, so on a personal level, this is between you and her........but on an admin level I did speak with her, I don't know why she did this but it's out of context for her and she did promise she wouldn't do it again and stated she will keep her mouth shut next time. Since I've never seen or heard anything like this from her before, I will trust her promise. Everyone has bad days and maybe this was hers. I only feel that I need to adress the admin part of this, I do not condone what she did but for some reason she felt she needed to protect my feelings in some way. I did discuss this with her and I feel comfortable that issue is sorted out.

 

I do not know what you wish to do about the emails between you and her but I believe she said what she wanted and that's it on her end....The best advice I can offer here is people will always have conflict, it's always best to just ignore and walk away, which is what I told her also.........I hope as adults we can put this behind us and everyone continues to enjoy the group............

it's typical of uneducated people to blame something as trivial as hormones. I do understand, I just found out your age and I apologize, I didn't know you were getting senile which is why you don't see what  you write to others in their posts or even in your replies to me, lol

You may want to choose another hobby, photography just isn't for you. Very sad to be in denial.

I am done. I realize that I can't make you comprehend so I won't waste anymore of my time.

You missed the point. Give school another shot.

 I didn't realize I was being graded.  Maybe I need to look at my degree's again to make sure my name is on those. It really doesn't matter to me what you think,  I know an that is all that matters.

The reason that I replied to your post was that I found that your reply lacked class. Asking an insignificant (That's a big word that means unimportant)Yes I do know what it means, but not sure that you do with this reply . question of someone who has just posted a picture of a wonderful opportunity that she had and your reply not even containing somewhat of a congratulatory reply also showed lack of education and tact. I do not see how you can say that I showed lack of education and tact, to me the fence takes away from her work.

And thank you I do have a college education. 

It's a shame, she is always there for us and she should get some praise when good things come her way, the same as she does for all of us when we do good.

That is all I have to say.  Solely my opinion.  An  my opinion is  I don't see that I stepped out of line and if Kathy had a problem she should address me not you.

I fully understand how you fill. It's one thing for somebody to come out ot the blue and start bashing you for something they know nothing about. Specially from somebody that doesn't have a dog in the fight. But when you did what we have all been told to do, likegoing to admins if we have a problem. Then being shot down like you were. Sounds like the little clicks in high school.

I know personily that your perfectly sane and are educated.

As far as your photography goes. I think you have come a long way and your are still learning and getting better everyday.I have watched your photography skills grow from point and shoots in auto mode all the way to a Professional camera in Manual and Raw. Keep studying and working with your photography and don't let a point & shoot paparazzi wanna be keep you from following your passion.

Faye, I am just getting around to reading this....so sorry you were treated this way!  I have all but quit that group myself just because of the "Holyier than thou" attitude by some of the admins and others that have been doing this longer than us.  Just keep shooting and learning and ignore idiots like her.

Awww....Faye, I am so sorry this happened to you. I have to left the group, it seemed everytime I tried to learn something new I was shot down...but, oh well. I met some nice ppl in that group too.

Well it sure is good to know this.  I just joined this group a few days ago in hopes of learning more than I know... which is certainly NOT a lot.  I have a Nikon pas but I love it and I really wanted to know more.  I don't like what I'm seeing here and hope that maybe some of these people have stopped acting like this?  Guess I'll find out:-)  Hope you continued to follow your dreams:-)
