As a part of my religious beliefs I am a person who belives that everything happens for a reason. Everything. So when my husband met with what felt like an out of place speed bump in his fast tracking career, I was stunned. And bewildered. And angry. And confused...... so I took some time, meditated, lit some candles and we got down to work.

Here we are, 2 months later.

I am currently enrolled 3/4 time at Calhoun, taking night classes:

English 102, Spanish 101, History 122

mostly because they were the only classes I needed that were available at the time I registered for classes.

School is going incredibly well and I am thriving on it.

Work is amazing. I can proudly say that I am a CNA in a 5 star state rated facility. I work with the same 8 residents 5 days a week. They are like grandparents to me and I am proud to be able to give them dignity and help them go about their lives. I am good at my job and I think that I will continue to get even better.

Emma is in 1st grade and doing well over all. She loves going to school and loves getting to ride the bus in the morning. She's even getting much better about keeping her room clean.

My husband is currently re-discovering who he is and what he wants to do wit his life. He's doing an amazing job of it. I'm proud to say that he enjoys cleaning house and he is so supportive of my return to school that he is largely responsible for keeping clothes washed, and Emma's homework done (since I am in class most nights)

This weekend my fabulous husband and his brother are fencing in our backyard so the dogs can spend time outside as well as in. I'm highly impressed with their progress. It's a wooden post fence with wire fencing that will eventually be covered with a 6 ft privacy fence to shield our back patio/deck that we'll be building next spring.

We were able to refinance our mortgage and have reduced our payment by $200/month which is fantastic!! It also means we'll probably stay in this house another year or so.... which means, you guessed it, more home renovations!! We're going to close in the carport and expand the kitchen into that space which will more than double our kitchen size and allow us to put a dining room in the space as well which means our current dining room (which functions as a computer room now anyway) will no longer be called "dining room" and we can use it as more of a study....

I am proud to say that as we move steadily into the dark half of the year, our lives are progressing nicely and we are happy.... it's a good place to be :-)

also.... my birthday is coming up incredibly soon and we're planning a fabulous bash (I can't wait!!) plus I think we'll be having a more private celebration with just the two of us...

I just wanted to update everyone here... I love you all and I am super busy right now but I wanted to check in!!

hope all of your lives are beautiful too :-)

-peace and blessings
