It's been almost a year since I joined Cafemom, my first group is/was Teenage Daughters and the Drama.  It was great to connect with other moms going through the same stuff.

I got hooked and joined lots of groups and found myself on the computer hours every day.  I've left groups and joined others.  Met interesting people and learned interesting things.   30 and Beyond is a blast.  The debate groups are intense.   My religious group is very supportive.   There's always something going on somewhere.

Meanwhile I've stopped exercising, I don't have much time for reading, and my house has become out of control.   I'm realizing I have to change something.  I don't know if I can ration my time on Cafemom to just one hour a day, or 2 hrs every other day.   I think I need to quit cold turkey.

Yet there's much I would miss.  I made a couple friends and would like to keep in touch.   I've thought of keeping my groups to three, and going on less.  Not sure I can do it!

Before joining Cafemom I never went on our home computer much at all.  Just checked email and read some headlines.   Now I sit here and time flies.  I feel sucked in, like I can't help myself.

Which is why I'm thinking it's time to quit.  I need more self control and / or time management skills.  Hm, maybe there's a group for that...

I can totally relate LOL!!!

My hubby set up a schedule for me there for a while.  It was hysterical.  I was being "dosed" with CM LOL!!!!

In all seriousness - fill your day with real life stuff first.  That's how I broke the "addiction".  I had certain "need to do" things that I did first, before I logged on.  Or I got on at the butt-crack of dawn, before the kids got up.  Once they got up for school, I had no choice but to log off.  Do what works for you - just set yourself up for "failure" (having to get off).  Log on when you only have 1/2 before a doctor's appt or phone call, the kids get home, whatever.
