Easy homemade carnival games

Since my youngest daughter has gone off to kindergarten this year I've decided to become more involved in the school community (since I have more time on my hands) and I've volunteered to run the kids games at the spring carnival this year. I am looking for some new ideas, other than the tried and true, duck pond, darts, bean bag toss,etc. My husband is a carpenter so I hoping to come up with some new but not too expensive games to make. Would love to have a few games for different age groups, toddlers, elementary and some for the tweens. Thanks!!!
