My husband and I are coming up on our 5th wedding anniversary.  We have chosen to give "traditional" anniversary gifts to one another and have since the begining.  It doesn't have to be anything extravagant or expensive.  The 5th anniversary is Wood.  I have NO idea what to get for my hubs.

1st Anniversay is Paper.....Eagles Tickets

2nd Anniversary is Cotton.....Hammock with Stand

3rd Anniversary is Leather.....Leather Coat

4th Anniversary is Fruit.....Fruit Bouquet in a Football

5th Anniversary is Wood.....??????

~Frame a copy of your wedding vows in a nice pretty wood frame

~Frame a family photo in a wood frame

~Plant a tree together

~Wood rocking chair (?)

I have no clue what the "proper" gift would be....but I always "know" what my DH wants as a gift!!!
