Wow I cant believe this 30 day endeavor is almost over. I am sorry i havn't done very well documenting this trip. It got to a point where it didn't take second thought and long periods of time planning and researching.  It has been over 3 weeks since i stopped eating meat and 2 for every other animal product. Now i cant say i haven't done perfectly. For example we had a family reunion the other day which was like a meat market. I mean they had several different types of meat. Turkey, brisket, ribs, and hot dogs. Now I didn't eat any meat but the only items i could eat were salad, the pasta salad(i made and it seemed like no one noticed the mayo sub at all because i made 6 boxes and there wasn't any left when it was time for me to go), and some fruit. So i caved and had a little potato salad that someone else brought so i am certain that there was some mayo in it. I loaded up on the fruit though so i didn't have much of the potato salad at all. And I have lost 12 lbs though the weightloss is slowing because i haven't walked in almost two weeks errgh. The weather is yo yoing  and I don't have any warm clothes for My 14 month old yet and since dh is getting many miles tjerefore not much money so we cant buy anything extra much less get the bills paid on time.  So no more walking and since i live upstairs it is next to impossible getting any cardio in without pissing off my neighbor. Also like i mentioned before eating this way has become incredibly easy and i have gotten to a point to where i don't have to give things a second thought. So I think i will most definately stay vegitarian though i may have to have a bit of cheese every once in a while maybe not though because after i had that tiny bit of potato salad I had some serious IBS symptoms WARNING TMI AHEAD REALLY GROSS But i have never had this happen before (i was just constipated all the time before i changed my diet)...After i had the potato salad I had a serious bout of constipation cramping and everytime i went to the restroom it got softer and softer until it was completely liquid it kind of freaked me out so i googled it and I had every IBS symptom listed so who knows i may not be able to eat that stuff anymore.  Anyway here is the menu for the day.

 

breakfast I had oatmeal

snack- walnuts

lunch- leftovers of my incredible veggie pot pie

snack - more walnuts

dinner - two veggie burgers and a small handful of rice chips.

My son tried one of the veggie burgers and couldn't believe that there was no meat in it. And he said they should make everything like this so they don't have to kill the animals anymore.  Than he asked me why they have to kill the animals instead of letting them grow old and die.  I told him that they wouldn't make as much money if they did that. And my sister was talking about bacon the other day and my eldest said you know your eating a pigs butt right? (he didn't hear that from me but boy was it funny) He still likes meat  but he is slowly coming around to seeing vegetables in a new light.

I want to try the vegan thing, I just don't know how to start. Theres meat and cheese everywhere! lol

I know what you mean shyma. Once your in the mindset though it comes very easy. And if you do give it a try you will be amazed in the difference of how you feel.  I have to say after my 30 days was dairy products were back with a vengence and I started gradually feeling horrible. I had tummy troubles, My allergies were back and way worse, and I put some weight back on. So I am starting all over again. Since I haven't had meat in a few months I believe this time around since i only have one craving to beat (dairy) it will be just as easy as giving up the meat.  So i am keeping a daily log again which started yesterday
